How do you eat your Skittles?

Those fruity, sweet, chewy candies in a colorful rainbow...how do you eat them? Do you have a favorite flavor? I usually just eat the original...there's a perfect blend of flavors that you can eat a handful and it all blends together perfectly!
I've had the sour ones, but I can't eat more than one at a time; I can easily put away a 1-lb. bag of originals in one sitting (something I DON'T recommend!). The only drawback--I have to make sure I brush my teeth right away; the feeling of the sugar coating my teeth is almost too much to bear!

I really dont like them at all.... but, - Smarties (coated chocolate beans for anyone who isn't familiar with then), no point in one at a time, gotta have a whole handful and wait for the coating to dissolve. The orange ones are best!

I thought Smarties were little hard candies that dissolved in your mouth and didn't involve chocolate...maybe they changed?
I know what you mean though--some candies require that you have more than 1 at a time!

Lilybug, you have such restraint!
I could never eat just a few at a time (except when the bag is nearly gone!) For me, it's all or nothing!

I don't eat them often, but when I do, I eat them one color/flavor at a time. In the regular ones, I HAVE to get rid of the green ones first. Then I eat them from fewest to most in a particular flavor. But, I like the tropical ones the best. I mix them up a little bit more, but still tend to do one flavor at a time.
I eat my M&Ms the same way - browns first, then one color at a time.
Yes, I'm strange. Very OCD in some areas. LOL

Why do you have to get rid of the green Skittles first? I actually don't mind which color/flavor I eat first, but I tend to eat them in bunches, mixing all the flavors because I dislike just the orange and just the yellow!
Which m&m's do you like--regular or peanut? I prefer the peanut--for some reason, I can't stand the plain any more...

Because the green ones are the ones I dislike the most. Then the yellow ones. The rest are fair game. I can't stand how the green ones taste, but won't throw them away. So I save the best for last!
As for brown M&Ms - I just don't like brown M&Ms - I'd eat both shades of brown before, but now that they only have one, I only get the one first. I'd like to see them get rid of that color completely! It has nothing to do with taste - just color. Yes - it's odd. But, that's how I do it.
I think I prefer the Peanut M&Ms, too. Especially since I was diagnosed with diabetes. Shouldn't eat them at all, but when I do, I eat them with peanuts because at least they have some protein with them. If I'm going to eat plain chocolate, I want it frozen, so I'll eat them in a McFlurry or one of Wendy's new shakes. Frozen chocolate is OK. Frozen peanut butter cups are excellent - especially the mini ones!! (My whole family eats them that way on my dad's side - I got it honest.)

I love Skittles. I don't really have a favorite flavor I like all of them. I like the sour ones too and also the chocolate ones which taste heavenly. I eat them one at a time. So that I can savor each one. I find that if I eat them all at once I don't enjoy them as much and they finish fast.

I have never had an opportunity to have chocolate Skittles--I'll have to search some out today! I also can't eat the sour ones all at once--my face would be permanently pucked! Thanks for sharing!

Skittles are ever so tasty. I have different ways of eating them, it all just depends on the time frame I have. When I'm in a rust I eat them by the handful. If I have plenty of time I sort the colors out. And I make the all the same amount. Whichever one has more than the one with the less amount I take all the extra and eat them all at once. After that I slowly take one from each color, but this time just one at a time and eat them. Trying to make sure they remain equal because I'm going around and around.

Yes, I know what you mean. The flavors are just too good to stop. I get disappointed sometimes when I finish the bag, because you always want more than what you actually have on hand. And the headline would more than likely turn all kinds of heads, just thinking how did this woman do this to herself.
But everyone enjoys skittles whats not to enjoy. You can't be allergic to them like some are allergic to chocolate. You can never go wrong with skittles.

I think kids today have really odd tastes--most of these new 'flavors' are based on research involving kids. You have amazing self restraint, to eat one or two at a time! Thanks for sharing (and I'll have to try the red/green combo with my next bag!)

sometime I pour skittles in my hand then eat it all.... but most of the time I eat my least favorite flavor... sometimes I offer it to my friends, I'll give them the least favorite flavors and if there is nothing left I'll tell them that nothing is left but actually I kept it because the rest are my favorite ones... I like the berries flavor, all of it..

trish, you said that the berries flavor is your favorite, but how you're making me wonder--just what IS your least favorite?
I eat them like you--pour them in my hand and shove them all in my mouth at once! The good flavors overpour the lessor favorites, but do my teeth ever get coated in sugar! THAT'S not so fun! Thanks for sharing!

here in my country we only have the Original Fruit - my least favorite there are Lemon and Lime. Then the Wild Berry - least is the Melon Berry. I forgot the other pack that is available here. I do hate when it sticks in my teeth but I still love Skittles. soooo goood... :)

I don't even remember the last time I ate skittles because as you said the sugar is awful!
I remember them that I liked them until I couldn't eat the sweet chewy stuff anymore because my teeth just couldn't handle it!

I haven't eaten them since my first root canal in 2006...the cost was so high (without insurance); the second one was last year and I had to take out a personal loan...no wonder dentists are so wealthy!
Don't get me wrong--I LOVE Skittles...but I can do without the dental bills!

I have really gotten away from candy in general, but skittles aren't bad at all. I usually eat them one by one to get the different flavors. I really prefer chewy sprees though which aren't too far from skittles really.

I haven't had the chewy sprees in a while...they don't leave my teeth coated quite the same way the skittles do. They remind me of sour skittles. I think the larger size makes it easier to not eat as many too!

What are the colors you like least? I really don't care for the orange or yellow ones. Mixed up, they're not so bad though!

Then here's a basketful of them, aptly titled 'Skittles and Grins'. I'm sure this will get you smiling
(although the prospect of cleaning my teeth after eating a couple of bags IS rather daunting!)--enjoy!
