Balding Actors

I was reading an article a short time ago which pointed out the fact that some of Hollywood's leading men are beginning to go bald-or, at least losing some of their hair. I say this is no big deal. I find many bald or balding men still very attractive. In fact, some are even more attractive when they go bald. What I would like to know is whether you would consider a leading man less appealing if he has begun to lose his hair? Some of my favorite actors are bald or balding, like Bruce Willis, Woody Harrelson, Sean Connery. Who can you add to the list? They even included Brendan Frazer in their list but I had not noticed this.

I think that in the case of Brendan Frazer, Shaun, the camera might just have caught him at a poor angle because he still seems to have plenty hair to me.

I don't really care whether ther are bald or not. And like you said some of them look really good when they are bald like Bruce Willis. He still look nice. I don't really see them less appealing when they are bald. But you know that in tinseltown everything has to be perfect and they expect the actors to look young forever. It's not like that and people shouldn't still think like that.

You're right, gabs, they are still the same person, and I would never hod their loss of hair against them if I liked their acting or singing.

Frankly speaking, I somewhat dislike bald men. However, few of them are very attractive (perhaps even more when they were having hairs). But of course this is in real life and in movies, I don't like if the leading actor is bald. However, this may have few exceptions like Sean Connery.

I think a lot of these actors hide it with toupees or hair plugs. It is normal for the hairline to recede slightly as we get older while some men's hairlines recede at a much farther and quicker rate. I hadn't noticed Brendan Frasier but I do notice Nicholas Cage.

Yes, schulzie, I had forgotten about Nicholas Cage, but he is still quite handsome. I do also remember that Elton John had a big problem with premature baldness some years ago. I think he eventually got hair plugs.

Some of these actors were bald when I was a kid. I don't remember any of them with hair. *lol*
When I watched an old James Bond movie and my Dad told me that was Sean Connery, I blinked at him as if he was crazy!

I personally don't know what the big deal is with men losing their hair. So many men look even better with a solar panel. Or better yet, completely bald.

I would have to say that a handsome hunk who is going bald would be less appealing. This would not in any way reflect on his acting ability. I would be terribly disappointed if Tom Selleck went bald but he might look quite handsome if he shaved his head. It's the in between stage that isn't appealing, in my opinion. I do remember years ago seeing Yul Brenner in the "King and I." I thought his bald head was quite sexy.

I agree, a bald man is sexy.The bald actors that come to mind are Telly Savalas, Sir Ben Kingsley,and Ving Rhames.

Heck, with so many younger guys shaving their heads I don't see where it's a big deal. In fact, I thought Bruce Willis shaved his head because in some movies he's had hair. I also understand Sean Connery wore a toupe when he was James Bond, I think he went bald very prematurely.
Now, if a lot of the leading ladies were going bald...

Can't really think of any other big stars who are balding off the top of my head (scuse the pun!) But I do think that bald men can be very attractive! I mean I adore Bruce Willis , have since the days of Moonlighting and even then he was slightly follicly challenged! I also love men when their hair is going grey - just look at George Clooney - so much more attractive with grey hair than dark hair! xxx
