anyone been ripped off on E.BAY?

luckily i have not and would hate to be ripped off on there!

I have always have a good experience myself with Ebay. I have bought and sold. I have only had two occasions where I was let down and one was this silly woman placed a bid of £100 on an item and won it but never paid. I set up a idspute but she said she had emailed me, she hadn't and when I phoned the number on her profile she didn't even live there it was someone she knew, I relisted item and sold the folowing week but needed the money to go away with and had to borrow off my eldest daughter til the new buyer paid and the funds cleared. The other time was me buying something for £5 I could have got for free but didn't realise but my fault on that one. Ellie:D

No never. I have been using Ebay for years, buying or selling, and have had nothing but the best experiences with Ebay and Paypal.

I have never had a problem with ebay. There are some sellers that don't ship as soon as others, but I've always received what I paid for and received a positive feedback. I think it basically comes down to "you get what you pay for". If it sounds like a huge steal, and you can hardly believe you're getting something so cheap, chances are....it may not be such a high quality product as described. I made that mistake with a digital camera and have learned my lesson from that. It sounded like a great deal, so I bought the camera, and it was shot in seven months. Other than that, I think ebay is a great way to find things that you may not be able to find in your area, and at a reasonable price.

I have been ripped off on ebay, but it has not damaged my experience on ebay.

I bought a 2 gig mini SD memory card for my mobile phone (cell phone). When the card arrived and formatted the card, I found it was only 1 Gig.

I did comparison with other cards over the net. I have found that to purchase a 1 gig memory card from these other places, it was more expensive than my ebay purchase.

I didn't do anything because I was happy with the result. I am glad too that it is only 1 gig because, I haven't even used half of the memory and it has been at least 6 months since i got it.

We never suffered fraud or anything, and we've only had one problem seller. We got a memory card for our digital camera that was defective and the guy wouldn't take it back. But, we called PayPal and they just withheld payment, so the guy caved and gave us our money back. My fella uses it all the time to buy tools for his job, or golf stuff for his golfing addiction.

I have not been ripped off on eBay but I was ripped off in a web site partner of eBay here in my country, I have bought a lot of items on this web site from different users and in more cases I didn't have any problem, but once I bought a hard disk for $50 dollars, and I never got it, I was enough fool for didn't call first to the seller numbers and I just send the money because since I never got problems before I never thought I would be scammed, but I did, when I didn't arrive when it was supposed to, I called to the seller but he didn't live there, the funny thing was that he didn't stop the communication with me, he kept calling and saying excuses, maybe he didn't want me to report him, but anyway I think I was not the only one that was ripped off for this seller, because bad comments start to be let in his seller profile, but he was good for him because more people just comment they were still waiting for the items, after a time he disappear and I never know about him again, it was funny how he fooled me for long time and I didn't realize he was going to be gone, anyway after of that I always call first to the seller and I try to be sure they doesn't have fake information, until now this was the only once that I was ripped off.

I was only ripped off once, when I thought I was buying an actual VHS movie, but it was a homemade copy. Naturally, by the time I went to live feedback the person was off eBay.

I have not been doing too much with it lately with the fees rising yearly.

I am having more luck with my local craigslist site.

It's a shame really as I have had so many good experiences on Ebay but think there are definitly fraudsters ut there as you do hear of bad things happening.

I once won some dvd's that never arrived but luckily I hadn't spent too much however I couldn't claim anything ack as it was under a certain amount.: (
