Yes, another discussion about myLot stars.

I know that many of us wish these silly myLot stars just did not even exist. Myself, I am pretty indifferent when it comes to them. But since they do exist, I like to understand the process.
Can anyone tell me why 95/100 is a red 9 star for one person and a blue 10 star for another?

I wish I knew that myself. I am a 95 and I am a 10 right now at least. I have never got to much higher then a 95. Then agian I will go back down to a 9 again very easy. I am sitting on the line I guess you can say. I need to notice what it says when I am a 9 again.

Ah, yes, and I'm a 95 but a 9. Obviously you are holding the line better than I.

I asked mylot that one. They said the 95 that is red is because its percentage is actually like 95.4, so it goes to the red star of 9. The ones with the blue star with a 95 have something like a 95.7, which they round up to the blue star. Yeah, pretty silly, but that is what they told me.

I'm guessing along the same lines as Tianna. Like probably mylot just uses whole numbers. So a red star with 95/100 is prabably really a 94.6 to a 94.9 while a blue 95/100 is probably really a 95.0-95.4

Hmmmmmmmm
its mystery
that need to be solved?????
kidding aside the only thing comes to my mind is that as its software so it must be changing automatically, its not like some one doing in Manually. So i think with in 95 there might be some subrating and star might turn to Red when u are at highest subrating of 95 ( at verge of getting 96).
Well its my assumption, i dont know exact rule and i dont care about stars too

Not me. I guess you would have to ask the gurus at mylot. I think anything that would get you an A as in in school should get you a 10 on my lot. That is just my personal opinion however.

I can only imagine that there is a fraction of a percentage point that they do not share with us, cause I am currently one of those red star 95 people. Must be a really low 95.

Whil I can't anser you 100% because I am not a staf member, I will give you my theory.
100 is a percentage, as is everything else. One person is liable to get thousands of raitings a day, so perhaps all it takes is one + or - from an unknown rater to raise or lower their star that one little semi-point.

I rarely ever check mine either. I noticed it recently because I dropped to a 9 and I have been a 10 for so long.

I've wondered about this too. The only thing I could surmise, since I have never found an answer is that since the star system is based on the percentage of positive ratings vs negatives, when you have a certain amount of posts your percentage is actually 95 point something percent. If you are over 95.5%, you get a blue star, while if you are under that, you get the red. But this is only my assumption, and since MyLot doesn't show us the actual percent, only the whole number, there's no way to test this theory.

I always though a 95 was a blue star for everyone sis and that anything under that wasn't but then it wouldn't be the first time I had gotten it wrong! Boy I wish mylot would be more open and communicative with us right now as it would save a lot of confusion - don't ya think? Huugs zzz

I was going to say that maybe it is just me and they are picking on me. But at the time of this typing you too, my dear sis, are also a 95 red star. It must be a family thing... we must be on the wilting branch of the family tree.

Wish I knew! I don't even know
what my score is.
I haven't checked since I came
back to MyLot two months ago.
Time has flipped by and life has
gone on and I'm still posting some.
Who knows what it means or why it's
different for some.
Wish I could help more.

makingpots well if such a situation does exist then mylot has
goofed as I think when I was a ten I was 95/100 then a nine 94/100 now thanks to the unamed trolls, I am an 8 but am still
'the same person as I was as a ten, only now Iam a tad irritated that these trolls can do something like that in two days, to take a ten to an 8. those people who loudly proclaim that they dont care somehow all have 10's how come?
