WalMart Deal  

I only WISH it would be cold here! But no such luck and today was pretty miserable. We don't have central air, no. I have an air conditioner in the kitchen and one in one of the bedrooms.

I usually have fans going at the same time, but basically that's because the air conditioning doesn't really reach to my desk too well and my office area here gets very hot.

I've been thinking about getting one of those units that sit inside on the floor and have only a hose/tube or something going out of the window. That would have felt soooo good on a day like this!

We don't have air conditioning, we have fans and the fans tend to be pointed at the floor...for the dogs...they seem to suffer from the heat more then we do.

I wish it was cold as heck!

My house has an old central air unit. The entire system needs to be redone. I just use fans. Yes it is hotter that way, but my electric bill last month was only $96. So not only were my Walmart fans a good deal, but they are saving me money.

We have had a couple of real nice warm sunny days. I guess all the trees and plants help cool down the environment where I live in. As long as there's breeze I can't complain of the heat.

We rarely use the fan as it cools down to a comfortable level at night time and the house is well insulated especially the basement.

Regarding your fan, I can't believe they lasted for 20 years, must have been a good brand! I'd say you wouldn't buy new ones if they didn't they their normal death! LOL! But it's about time you change them and probably the fan these days are energy efficient and you save a bit on the power bill.

We have central air conditioning in our house and when it is hot and humid we run the air. I don't deal well when it is hot an humed. In the office, I have a ceiling fan that I use if I'm still warm. During the day, I'm the only one home, so I turn the temp up on the a/c and use the fan. No use cooling all the other rooms. lol

We also use fans when the a/c is off and it's a little warm in the house. It sure does help circulate the air around.

It is very hot here and I do have central air. My central air was turned on the last part of May. I also have ceiling fans that we turn on to circulate the air. I could not be in my house without it. It gets to darn hot.

wow thats a good deal. you cant beat that price. and it sure helps to spread the cold air around.i turn the ac on and the fan i let the ac run for maybe anhour and then just let the fan run and the room stays cold for a long time..

what a good deal that you got on your fans today at Wal-Mart! whoo hoo! and yes, i do have a central heat and air conditioning unit in the house that my family and myself live in, but i also have a small window air conditioning unit in my kitchen window. and i have four ceiling fans throughout the house as well that i like to leave turned on to help circulate the cool air from the air conditioning. and we have had storms here in the Nashville area most all afternoon today, and i have been dealing with loosing my dsl signal on and off today as well as it being less humid. i can stay hot to warm all day long, but when it comes time to go to bed at night time, then i like to stay cool and comfy sleeping.

I only have a window air conditioner here in this rat-trap I'm living in now, but I have two fans and I need anything at all, I'll try to get by with just one of those.

If it's really bad by late afternoon, I'll turn the air on, but at night I just use a fan, since the air doesn't circulate well to the other rooms, even with fans.

It's been hot here but sometimes cold..but, we have no fan, we are planning to purchase also so when I am alone and hubby will be working, I will just use eletric fan..that's a good deal Grandpa B,,I hope they will still have that sale until next week in our place...We have a/c but i only turn it on around 3 pm and that will be until 8 pm, then most of the time, we will just open our window in our bedroom to have fresh air and also to save!
