Busy weekend

The como zoo is great I just miss the polar bears. The kids will love going to the zoo with you guys.

Ours is almost always family oriented weekends. It's just the three of us here in Alabama. All our family live in other states. This weekend we were going hiking but got rained out so went to a movie instead. We saw Hancock.

I love taking pictures of animals and flowers. I always have my camera when we go hiking. We tried to go to a zoo on our Gatlinburg trip but it was a rain forest zoo and instead of having the snakes all in one place, they said they were everywhere throughout the zoo. I am deathly afraid of snakes, so much so that I can't even watch them on television. I told my husband and son that they could go ahead and view the zoo but they didn't want to do it without me. I'm the zoo person in the family anyway..lol.

We want to go to the Knoxville zoo one of these months when we go with the hubby for his class in Nashville. We can zip over there after the class is done. That's the plan anyway.

I have not been to a zoo in a long time but I do love them. We don't have a zoo close by. I do have many pictures though that my daughter has taken from the Ft.Worth zoo and a zoo in Waco, both in Texas. A few years ago I did go to Fossil Rim up close to where my daughter lives, a friend her two boys, my grandson and I went. It is really a good place to go. You drive through and the animals are out and about, you can also buy food for them and feed them out the window.

It sure do is a glitch! I have been responding to discussions and i am being thrown out and back to yahoo! That is weird! When I ipload pictures, I am very lucky if I did not get the weird message! Maybe we should come back after a week? LOL!

I went to the zoo last summer. My kids are due for another trip this summer but hours at my job are getting to me. I'm working too much and I don't have a lot of time left over. But if I didn't work my bills wouldn't get paid. It's a vicious cycle. Family day has to be planned soon!!

That sounds like a wonderful weekend! I haven't been to a zoo for decades and I really want to head up to the Columbus zoo, it was a fantastic place as I remember it. I know Mom would love to do that, too. We need to get out and do something. Most of my weekend was spent working, either writing or taking care of the yard. I need to get out and have some fun!

I haven't been to a zoo in years. The closest one to us is in florida so i don't see us going anytime soon.

Hi webeishere, I have not been to the zoo or an amusement park in years and I use to love to go to them! About the only thing I can get my husband to go to is the State fair that is held in August once a year. I think if he had grandchildren he would have been more likely to visit places like this. I am glad that you and your family had such a wonderful time and sorry you forgot your camera, that has to be a first!

The last time I was at the Zoo was with my Kids about 14 years ago lol
When my Daughter was here a few weeks back to visit me we where going to go but the Weather was not good enough so we didn't
I am hoping that she will get time of work again to come and see me before we go into Winter and then we will go lol

You are quite the busy guy, but it sounds as if you had a perfectly wonderful weekend! It's been forever since I've been to an amusement park. (Well, not quite so long if you count Disney World, but that's not really the same.)

A zoo without a camera... ouch! Our weekend was as family oriented as it usually is... to the store for groceries on Saturday morning and then out for lunch. Not much, but we look forward to it.

The last time I went to a zoo was... yikes, I guess it was in Salisbury, MD on the way to Ocean City one year and that was waaaaaaaaaaay back in '97.
