If are walking in the street and see there were an ambulance stopping aside and there was some of nurses try to encourage people to contribute their blood for some hospital that have a short in it's blood bank. What you will do? Do go quick and volunteer ? or you wait till they come to you and ask you? Thanks in advance.

Dear friend, I would contribute my blood if it is needed and moreover I would wait there until the they could take my blood if I could save a life I hope it is more valuable thing. Tomorrow this could even happen to us and I hope every people should come forward, who know one day ourself may need to get donated blood.I hope a healthy person can donate blood after passing tests that ensures no blood transmitted diseases are there.

I had a heart operation when I was a child and people donated blood for me. I really dont like needles though partially based on that situation so I dont donate blood at this time. If someone in my family needed blood I would donate it, or if there was a terrible crisis I would, but short of that I would rather volunteer in other ways. good question though.

I used to be a donor but, unfortunately, the blood service wont accept me since I began medication for hypertension. I'd be more than happy to give them a pint or so if they could use it.

I have donated my blood every 60 days for the past 44 years. It's almost painless, doesn't cost you anything, and only takes about 30 minutes out of your day. It can save someone's life. I am the Universal Doner (O+). Anyone can receive my blood. My father had the world's rarest type, AB-. I remember growing up, there were only 13 people in our state of California that had this type. He would get calls in the middle of the night to come in and donate.
