I live about 20 miles from the Mall of America. I went there Thursday afternoon to kill some time and people watch. Actually I went there to buy a gift for a myLot friend of mine whom collects coffee mugs. ANyhow this mall has an indoor Amusement park, an indoor Miniture Goldf Course, a 14 screen theatre. Lots of stores and kiosks. The anchor stores are Macys, Sears, Bloomingdales, and Nordstorm. There are over 200 stores and kiosks and a ton of food places to eat. I love just walking around and people watching. They also have Charter Flights in other Countries that fly out here ofr a day of shopping then flying back. Have you ever been to the MOA? If you are ever in Minnesota I can take you there to visit. Hee hee.

Wow! My home country has shopping malls but nothing to match that. I can imagine passengers flying in there for a day of shopping. I haven't ever been to the Mall of America. I have been to some impressive malls in Los Angeles but none of them are as good as the one you describe.

I have talked to people from japan and China that arrived on the shopping charter flights. They fly in on the morning, then shop all day and tour areas. then spend the evening leaving the next morning.

My sister has been to MOA but I have not. I have not been to Minnesota. I have flown over Minnesota and the great lakes but not stopped. I would love to go one day. My sister said it would take a week to see everything in the mall if you wanted to.
I am not much of a shopper so I do not even go to the mall here in our town.

With my dizzy spells and double vision. I have a real problem with being in crowds. I get very dizzy if I am in crowds I think it is the movement past my eyes and all the colors. I cannot tolerate going to costco any more. I am trashed by the time I walk out of there. I hardly can tolerate Wal-Mart on a slow day if they are busy I have to leave because I cannot hardly walk out of there.
Now send me to the MOA I would never survive.

Hi Grandpa B,
I have not been in MOA and I can just imagine how huge it is! I also love strolling in the mall, watching people and window shopping...LOL!

Here is a shot from way above this water fountain. I watched the little boy running back and forth the outer ring. I kept thinking he would fall into the water as fast as he ran at times.

I've been there several times, and more than once is too many.
It was great to see as a novelty, just to say you've been there, but it's way too much for me. I'm not a big mall shopper, I would much rather shop the thrift stores and discount stores, flea markets, antique stores, that sort of thing. The MOA doesn't do much for me.
Every time family or friends came to visit, we had to make the obligatory trip, though. All I got was tired.
Whatever you do, don't tell someone you'll meet them at 'such and such store', because chances are, there's more than one of them!

Ohhh I don't shop there a lot. I just visit to walk around and people watch. Most shops there are really exspensive. I'll have to go there this Christmass to take photos of their lights etc. It is awesome around the Holidays.

We don't have anything like what you have here and I can now say I am Jeliouse. 4 floors of pure heaven how can anyone ever get bored in a place like that? lol if they do man I know I wouldn't. It's awesome you shared something like this.

No the waterpark is not associated with the Mall Of America. it is in a Hotel across the highway is all and shares the name "America" is all.

I have never been there, Grandppa Bob, but I have certainly heard of the MOA and would LOVE to go there sometime. I live 15 minutes from the largest mall on the East Coast, but it's certainly nothing like the MOA. Next time you go, can you post some pics of the inside, like the amusement park?

I never have been to a MOA but it does sound very nice and huge. I am not one who likes to shop but it sounds like it is a place worth going to just see. We have 2 malls here and one has a really big and nice carousal a whole bunch of food courts and a movie theater but nothing like what you described.

I bought just one coffee mug. I then people watched for a couple hours.
Just to stop and visit each store and kiosk would take a couple days
at the least it is so huge. A fun place to say the least.

of not finding what you wanted.lol That would be a fantastic
place to people watch. I love to people watch, its so much

The parking ramps hold 50,000 cars. So there's an idea as to how big it is. They even have little electric train shuttles it is so huge. They have a great restaraunt there called Rainforest Cafe. This is a shot of the entry into the dining area. They have a lot of these acryllic aquariums in the store as well as the restaraunt with live fish.

Being a girl I thoroughly love Mall of America. I've only been there a few times in my life but everytime I went I had a big shopping spree. I plan on going back sometime when I have enough money to blow. I liked the Camp Snoopy theme park but I know they changed it to Nickelodeon now. It would be interesting to see the difference. I agree that it's very fun to people watch too. Your so lucky that you live so close.

Here's part of Nickelodeon Universe Amusement park.
This is in the center of the Mall actually.
It's geared towards kids but has 3 roller coasters as well.

I heard about the Mall of America and how awesome it is, and I wish California had something like that, but sadly we do not. The only thing that we have close to it would be Ontario Mills in Ontario, California or Victoria Gardens in Rancho Cucamonga, California. We seriously need a really awesome mall like the Mall of America here in California.

I bet they have air conditioning too. I am waiting for a kid to move out to that area to make a visit to there. Isn't that where the QVC store is?
I can't imagine a plane chartered to go shopping for the day. Must be nice to have money to burn!
Must be nice to live in a place with a mall like that, I hardly ever go to my local mall.

Yup! It's my sister's favorite place to shop so go there occasionally when I visit the cities! Its also a very big attraction for out of state guests and I know several people that made it a destination for their vacation. I do get alittle tired walking around there but since my younger sister likes to people watch we find a good central location to sit a just watch everyone!

That mall sounds fantastic, I could take the kids there and have a great day out by the sounds of it. There is nothing like that where I live or anywhere near it, I would love to live near places like that, I would never be bored.

Good day..Sounds and looks like a great mall specially the recreational place like the indoor miniture golf course and the amusement park. Here in our country we have a mall (mall of Asia) that is overlooking the sea and have iMax movie. It also has some kiosk and lots of places to eat. It the best mall in our country but I think your mall of America is more interesting.
