My hubby is the male head of our family and i am the female head of the family. We both decide whatever good for our family. We shared everything and dream together for the sake of our family. In other words, we shared the decision making and everything that is needed to do for the success of our relationship.

hi...i think the head of the house should be an elder person having more knowledge about life and everything... my head of the house is my father and i think its his right to be our head.

As the one who goes out to work and has to deal with all the official paperwork that comes into the house etc, I would say that, technically, its me - tho' in practice, it really isn't. In theory, we share decision making. Our children are grown up and have left home now, so make their own decisions

Neither of us we are a family unit and we work together on making our family a happy one, we make important decisions together and I dont really see the need for a head of house to be honest

My husband and I have always share decisions on everything. We don't consider either of us a the 'main' head of the household. We are a team. There are things I leave to him and things he leaves to me, but it's because we know what we are capable of doing. But when it comes time to make decisions, we consult one another. Might take us awhile to agree on everything, but we eventually do. Neither of us tries to out play the other. I think communicating together makes for a more harmonious marriage. After all, we've been married for 44 years and still love and respect one another.

I am a single mother of one, and so therefore I am the head of our household.
When I was in my last serious relationship though, we used to also make joint decisions about everything which worked well and suited us both :)
