Do you focus on eating a lot of fiber?

I know fiber is good so far as making you use the bathroom... What are it's other benefits? Why is it so important for weight loss?

Other than the added bathroom time, Fiber also lowers blood cholesterol, helps control diabetes, and plays a role in the prevention of colon cancer. Fiber is a very important component in weight control as well. Foods that contain fiber are typically low in fat, and one recent study showed that fiber may also block some of the digestion of fat and protein. http://www.goaskalice.columbia.edu/1317.html

From a weight loss perspective it is useful because it makes you feel full up therefore you are less likely to overeat. I don't make any special effort to eat extra fibre, though I use wholemeal flour. If you have a balanced diet which is full of fruit and veg, you should be eating plenty.
