Best friends: getting on each others nerves!

I am assuming you are both human? Because if you are, then of course sometimes you will get on each others nerves. If she doesn't make a habit of being snippy i would just forget it. Aren't there times when you wish your best friend (and your children) were puppies? LOL. So much easier to deal with!

I do not recall any of my friends getting on my nerves but I know I've got in some of them. The nice thing is if you get into any type of argument or dispute or disagreement with someone you consider a friend and even if you get mad at each other, after that, you reconcile, right there you'll know you have someone, a friend who can take your heat and viceversa, therefore he/she will do it for you against anybody else.

I think it is a natural flow in any friends or relationship.
Be that family or friends.
I feel that without the bumps in a relationship it has nothing to continue to grow on, if that makes sense. xxx Susan

Oh yes but it was understandable, she was not only a friend but also an owner of our asphalt race track and I worked for her. With all those drivers and all the employees it was no wonder she would get that way and not really realize it. She is also the type of person who speaks without thinking. But as for just a friend being around and getting on my nerves, no.

Oh best friends can get on each others nerves no doubt. I think anyone you are that close to you are bound to have a bad moment or two or three. Me and my friends have had plenty of our issues but we always get over them thats what makes them best friends.

I've not had a friend say anything to upset me for a very long time. However, I guess another way to interpret this is that the 2 of you are so comfortable with one another, that you can just say anything to the other.

It can take a person aback, though, if someone unexpected gets snippy. I think you are so wise not to hold on to it. And, FYI, I LOVE the word, "torqued."

Yeah they can. Lots of people get on my nerves in general. And it's more annoying when someone your close with gets in the way. If you really like being around that person then you can't help but shrug it off. Personalities clash sometimes.

I think we all get on each others nerves at some time, but the hard part is to not get angry. I'm aware that anyone can have a bad day and try to be supportive to my friends. The bad economy has made money a bad subject, as several of my friends are in danger of losing their homes. Stress can make a nice person act badly to their friends.

They said that your best friend can also turn into your best enemy. But that is if you let it happen that way i guess.I had my best friend since college and it turned out that we always fight over something because she cant accept the good things that are happening to me. She felt left out. No matter how i tried to assure her that our friendship will still be the same, still she doesnt stop, so I have to let go of her and our friendship. It's sad but It ended that way.
