 I strongly suggest you type all your posts in Notepad or Word, then copy-paste it into the submission box. MyLot seems to be having technical difficulties again, and I had to login three times just to get one post to go through.
If you have yet to reach 500 posts, I feel for you in the meantime. I wanted to walk away from myLot more than once in the past, after sitting and typing for a good half-hour, only to find that myLot had forgotten my login information, and all my work was down the drain.
So remember your Notepad if you have 500 posts. And if you're not there, hurry up and get there! Happy myLotting!

| 9. ferdzNK (1950) | 1 month ago |  Hi Santuccie, they have put a timer now in this site, probably to discourage malicious individuals from exploiting open connection. So this auto-logout is actually for our protection and like any anti-malicious things the normal user take the extra burden.
What I did here is check the remember me check box when I log in so that it will not ask me every time. Now this is my dilemma, if my assumption is right did I render the protection useless? I do log out when I turn my browser off. But there are times that I leave my browser on for a long period.

In this case, I don't think it was security related. I had typed out a post in Notepad, and was trying to paste it into the submission box. I would login, and when I went to paste, I would get the 500 post bit. I had to re-login three times before it went through. It's a bug.
This was the first time I ever experienced something like this, and it hasn't happened since I started the discussion. But myLot has a history, and this problem was present when I was a newbie, before I'd reached 500 posts. And the "remember me" box doesn't seem to fix the problem in my case. Fortunately, since I've reached 500 posts, I have a safety net. Thanks for the response! | |
