Now I know that sounds like a lot but I only have a four cup coffee pot so it really isn't a lot. Since it is only a four cup pot I only get 3 cups of coffee out of it. I wonder why they say that it is a 4 cup pot or a 8 cup pot when a person never gets that many cups out of it. Maybe they mean a cup as in a measuring cup, not a coffee cup.
So how big is your coffee pot? Is it an eight cup ot or a four cup pot? Or do you not have one at all? Do you actually get the amount of cups that it states? Or are you like me and only get a few cups out of it? Please share.

Most of the time, they're measuring a 6-oz. cup, or even a 5-oz. cup, when we usually drink 8 to 16-ounce cups! I hope there's nothing wrong with coffee, because I have a 0-cup pot brewing while I shower in the morning, and it's gone by the time I leave for work. I get to work and make a couple of 12-cup pots for everyone to share and, because I'm too busy just to sit down and enjoy it, I sip on it throughout the day, meaning about 3 more 12-oz. cups. The diet Cokes take me through the evening, but I make at lease one 4-cup pot of espresso just before I go to bed. I guess you can tell - I reallu like coffee.

Yes I can see that you really enjoy your coffee. I think it is okay to drink that much as long as you aren't using too much sugar.

Actually, I don't put anything in it. I like strong, black coffee. If I used sugar, I'd probably look like a hippo by now!

Well then it is a good thing that you don't use sugar. I tried it that way and I can't drink it without sugar. I can drink it without cream or milk though, although I prefer it with.

A whole pot of coffee?? It seems quite alot for me, regardless of it being a 4cup pot or 8 cup pot.. For myself, i will only allow myself at most 2 cups of coffee per day and it's will be more than enough.. However, i'm not into black coffee, i only drink latte.. lol
But still, i think it's too much to drink a whole pot of coffee and it's no better than being a coffee addict..

I have a 12 pot maker and I don't use a regular size coffee cup to drink out of. The cup that I use holds at least 2-3 cups in one cup. Most mornings I make a fresh pot for the day and drink the whole pot. I have not really measured with a regular coffee cup to see if the pot it accurate. That is something that I should try just to see if it is really a 12 cup pot.

My coffeee pot is like a twelve cupper. We only make about half the pot everyday becasue at the most we will drink like 3 cups out of it. We always have undrunk coffee sitting around. Sometimes if I m feeling lazy or I dont want to waste it I will just reheat it and drink it another day. Nothing tastes as good as fresh coffee though.

That is why I bought a 4 cup pot. I don't really like left over coffee so this way I don't have any and it isn't waisted as coffee is getting to be pretty expensive. I buy beans only and grind my own and the last bag I bought cost me $14.95, although it will last awhile, it is still costly.

I use instant coffee and a kettle! I would say that I get about four of five cups at a time out of it just depending on how far I fill it each time. I love coffee, I have been trying to cut down on the amount I have in a day, but it is just no good I cannot do it.

Hey dear friend, thanks for responding on one of my old discussions. I am going to go make a pot of coffee right after I post this comment. I have some Vanilla Coffee beans and I am going to go grind some and make a pot. I also have some really good coffee creamer. Lots of calories but oh well, it is worth it. I will heat my cream in the microwave and then whip it and then add my coffee. Yummm I have to go now, talk to you later.

I don't drink coffee, my husband does. I usually fix a 10 cup pot in the mornings for him. He usually gets 3 big cups out of it. If there is quite a bit left the next morning, I will not make a fresh pot. He will drink it, but the next day when I make a fresh pot, he always UMMMM, this coffee is really good. I haven't quite latched on to the coffee thing, it is just something I have not acquired a taste for. But most people who drink coffee, seems to want it first thinkg in the morning, in order to start their day.

Maybe your cup is too big?!
I think standard teacup can only take 100ml of water.
3 cups of coffee? Ain't that too much? I heard too much of coffee is not good. It's good if you can cut down to 1 or 2 cups a day.
