i was asking my son about something when he raises his hand to reached something and saw a blue mark made of ink in his wrists that i became curious of ..and ask about it..and was amazed that it was from a concert he had seen last night...that is when he tried to go out of the venue to buy something outside or whatever the receptionist had marked it purposely so that he can still go inside without buying anymore tickets at all...and yes even in theaters they mark something if you go out or even leave some ids....what about in your place??if you decide to go out in the middle of something(movies, concerts) can you still go inside if you wish to be back after going out?

Yes this is a very common practice and has been for as long as I can remember. Some places don't have actual tickets or stubs. Its actually much cheaper to just stamp each person's wrist rather than have some printed tickets or stubs. Alot of bars or nightclubs use this method. Or places that have like general admission where you don't pay for a particular table or seat. I'm surprised that this is new for you....

I think that they give a wrist band more now then marking it with ink....that way the know you have paid for the event and that you can come and go when you need to.

this is the same practice we have here in our place. this goes to theaters, disco houses, night clubs/bars, and even in the community fiesta dance celebration. this is really nice to have people mark with stamp inks if they wish to go out of the place and plans to return.

I havent heard of it in the uk. Seems logical though, to make sure that the place owners know you have paid they have to give you some sort of id i guess!

OH yeah, they do that all the time. Actually I always remember them doing it. WHen I was a teenager and we went to dances or clubs they always did that if we wanted to go out for some reason. I don't think they ever did that at the movies though, at least not in the places I lived, but usually concerts etc they did.

hi vanities yes they do that here in the US in certain dance halls, and concert places and in the high schools they do that at the senior ball also. Ithink in some places where they have dinner theater they do the same marking thing.

I've only been stamped at gigs, never at the theatre. I thought you just used your ticket if you leave. I am not sure though as when I go see a movie I don't leave until it ends.
