I would grab my filebox that contains all of my important papers, my cpu because there are irreplacable pictures on that computer and my purse. I'm cheating just a little bit because I would also want my cell phone but, in this instance, it's in my purse.

hehe but if you went to trouble of taking the cpu, brain of the computer (central processing unit) you would have been disappointed for the trouble as your pictures would be on the harddrive.. as for cellphone purse well.. hehe take your bag and all those things will just happen to be in there :p

I would take my daughter first of all because she is still young there is still good life ahead of her and then my Husband because he is also part of me and then important documents so that we could moved on with the next chapter of our life......

i think i should have stated more clearly what i mean by items.. i wouldnt ask anyone to choose between anything living like children or animals.. we cant do that.. i did say items/objects.. as in phones, money, photos, makeup, laptop and so on

Okay, since you mentioned 'things' then I assuming that my family is alright and I only need to carry three (3) THINGS, so I'd choose the following:
1. My Cellphone - To contact everyone and maybe tell them not to worry at the same time ask for assistance.
2. My wallet - To have at least money to start up our life again or maybe at least to have some money to rent a new home or rent a place for the night and food for my family.
3. Important documents - I have an envelope here in my house containing our passports and important documents (land title, insurances, healthcare, etc.) I think that would really be important because those papers take time and money to process once it's gone. So to save me from the hassle plus for identification purposes (or any purpose I may need in the future), it's best that I'd take it with me.
=)

yes ofcourse, all lifes are fine.. this is just a fun discussion, just to see what you find most important to you to need to take with you.. i would take my memories as can never replace them, photographs of my children growing up, the videos of them and cellphone.. everything else can be replaced in time.. but memories are priceless

Tough question, well it's my husband and myself. so for my three things, i would grab one of our cats, my son's graduation picture, and my purse.
I will discuss this with my husband as to what three things he would take.
I hope he would take, the other cat, I am sure he would grab one of his guitars and probably his laptop.
My cat because I love him, my son's graduation picture because I love him and would not want anything to happen to his picture and my purse, because I would at least have a little money and credit cards to use later.
My husband's items, the other cat, because of the love, his guitar, because he loves to play, at least if we are displaced he will have something that makes him happy, and his laptop, because he has his own businesses and won't lose any of his stored data.

as for cat, the cats be ok anyway.. since i say items. all life manage to get out fine i wouldn't say life because means choosing between children pets and not be nice because we couldn't.. photo defiantly be important item as can not be replaced.. as for credit cards, they can be replaced at bank lool so i wouldn't bother and rather grab something else hehe..

that is more like it everything else, credit cards, phones, wallet and so on is replaceable.. id choose the same kind of items in fact i often worry about things like that, what if fire and my first thought always is memories of photos videos etc.

my certificates, my computer hard disk, and my cd pack
that's it and i can confidently start my my all over again without and fear, that much confident i am ... they are the most important things in my life.
yes there are many things that we feel sentimental about ... like my magic sets,origami books, and magic books but i can earn them in my life at any point .. so it would be practical to carry things with which we can start over naa?
