Just wondering what people are working on at the moment. What creative projects are keeping you occupied this summer? Do your yarn preferences change at this time of year?

well right now i am working on knitting a sweater and a big fluffy camoufalge blanket i have been knitting the sweater for years and i just started knitting the blanket about six months ago i just do not have the time to dedicate to this hobby and somethimes it is hard for me to get myself motivated so this summer i am planning on trying to finish both of those projects and then start knitting a purse and matching wallet my yarn preferences do not change as the seasons change

Well it's not really summer here in Ireland (it's supposed to be, but it's not lol), but anyway. At the moment I'm knitting a rather quirky set of cushions for the lounge. I've found a whole lot of free patterns to knit things like cupcakes, strawberries, gingerbread men, so I'm converting them into cushion size and making them into 'foodie' cushions.

I usually don't do much knitting during the summer because I'm busier with gardening and things, but I started a throw for my grand daughter and her new husband. I want to finish it before the end of this month. Then I found some sock yarn at Hobby Lobby and I was so excited that they started carrying it again that I had to buy some. That will be my next project.

I'm knitting a baby blanket. It will be a gift for a family expecting a new baby in November.

LOL, funny you should bring knitting projects up, I am still seething from my latest one. I started a few months ago to knit baby blankets to sell, I did a couple and started a third one. Then I found myLot and the knitting was pushed to one side, but then a few days ago I decided it was time to restart it again and so took up from where I left off on my blanket but I tried to be clever and tried to knit and myLot at the same time!
Needless to say I went wrong with the pattern so I unpicked it to where I thought I had gone wrong and started again but still it would not come out right. So there was nothing I could do except just undo it all. I have now started a different blanket and this time will not try to do more than one thing at once!LOL
