There are no fine line between these categories, and we can be anyone of these at the same time. But I would like to know which in these categories you are most dominant.
1. Adviser - You usually give motherly, fatherly, sisterly, brotherly and friendly advise; mostly advise on life and relationship.
2. Expert - You give expert advices like computer tips, gadget tips, cooking tips, pet care tips. (You don't really have to be pronounced expert to give expert advice)
3. Sharebear - You don't really give advise but you share life experiences in your responses.
4. Webworm - When faced with a discussion, you would always search the net and respond with a well-documented answer to the discussion.
5. Debater - You like choosing sides and standing for your belief.
What kind of myLot respondent are you?
You can add your own category if you don't find one that suits you.
Have fun!

I would like to comment on the intelligent categorizations. Anyways, I would consider myself an expert. I'm always at the money earning forums and having some experience in that arena, I can always share what I know with others. Though I could not finalize that since I am still new in MyLot. I may assume other roles as I progressed into this forum ^^

I guess we will shift roles every once in a while. But it's good
that you know your expertise here. And I think you have
helped a lot of people here. I think being successful here in
myLot really depends on how many members you have helped.
Have a nice day!

I am a bit of all of these at any given time. The one that I am the most is 3 the sharebear. I like to tell about things that have happened to me. Some of the things could possibly help someone else out if they ended in a similar situation as I have been through.

That is usually the case for me too. I usually just offer my
experience instead of really giving advise when I don't
really see myself as one who should be giving advice.
And when I do share my experience, I think it gives a
unique perspective to the discussions which makes it more
interesting.

I am also a sharebear. I always like to impart my personal
experiences when responding to a discussion. I think when I do
that, it gives a unique information to the discussion thus
improving its quality. And I think discussions with
personal experiences are more interesting.

I usually advice technical stuff about computer. The next thing I interact or share my fillings with others.I have joined here for less than a month. So I am still gathering some experience as I have never joined this type of websites.

So you can be categorized as an expert.
I think as you go on here, you will be known for the kind
of responses you give and kind of discussions you start.
In this case, you will be known as a computer expert and
maybe people will go to you when they need some help. And
would look out for your discussions about new computer tips.
Have a nice day!

i think i am a bit of number 1, 2 and 3... but i hardly do number 4 and 5... it really depends on the type of the discussion that i responded to... whether it is asking for advice or the person posting the post just want to share his/her tips and feelings... my responds are mostly depend on the discussions... take care and have a nice day...

Depending on my mood on any particular day I would say that I pretty much alternate between all of those categories except for the fourth one. I am definitely not a "webworm"! I rarely exhibit characteristics of the second category either I don't think but I suppose I do occasionally! "Debater" though sounds the most fun and the most challenging so in the perfect world I would like to be this type of respondent most of the time!
And just for fun I think there are three more categories for consideration: (And I doubt many people would admit to being either but we all KNOW they exist on here!)
"Fence Sitter" - Neither opinionated nor taking any real stance on anything; just contributing for the sake of being a part of it without really adding anything new to the mix!
AND
"Congenial" - Just agree with everything and never dare to rock the boat for fear of being rated badly or criticized!
AND
"War Monger" - Regardless of what they really think, they will do whatever they can TO rock the boat and upset people or the balance of the conversation. These are the type of people that ALWAYS have to have the last word and will keep coming back again and again with more comments until you are smart enough to stop re-responding to them!
I realize my further examples are not as well balanced and specific as yours; but thought I would add them for fun as there are definitely people like this on myLot!

Those are nice categories and I would definitely love to add them.
FENCE SITTER
CONGENIAL
WAR MONGER
Though maybe only a few people would be courageous enough to say
that they belong to either one of these categories. I think most
people here are helping and not really just sitting around.
Have a nice day!

Hi richiem,
I can be Sharebear and adviser and sometimes webworm...
When I will be asked about my opinion, I will share my experienced about the post and at the same time will give m opinion as my advice..There are instanced also that I have no idea about the topic, I will search it online to have some knowledge and will share what I have read!

I also do the searching sometimes when I really want to response
but I have nothing to respond with.
But this searching takes a lot of time and with my little time
here in myLot, it may be unproductive. But I think being a
webworm really helps the discussion starter.
Have a nice day!

i guess i'm an adviser and sharebear but it depends on which discussion i'm gonna be like that. i can be a sharebear sometimes and also an adviser sometimes. i can be both if someone's asking for my opinion and if i have an incident that happens like that

It is hard to say what kind of responder I am my friend because it all depends on the mood I am in and what kind of discussion I am responding to,most of the time I am an adviser and try to give advice to help other people, half the time I am a sharebear and I like sharing experiences that might help other people, and then there are some times that I am a debater and I will pick a side and argue with people because I personally like to argue lol.

I'm not to sure, I'm mostly online to share experiences but if a topic comes up on which I can give an expert advise then I will definitly do so.
I like taking in a point of view and debate about that, after all mylot is all about discussing things and if you do not have an opinion about something it's hard to debate on it. It's nice to do but you got to have a lot of respect and be open minded if you want a decent discussion.

Then you should be a combination of a sharebear, adviser and
a debater. But by the sound of it, I would guess you are mostly
a debater. You seem to be very good in keeping your head cool
while making a point and that is good for a decent discussion.
Have a nice day!

I am guilty of responding sometimes for the sake of responding.
I do it because I want to respond to a friend. But I don't
always do it. I always try to have something of substance to
say.
People like you adds more value to this site. You make this
site more interesting and informative.
Have a nice day!

I give advice without being persistent about it. I share my experiences when I feel it might be relevant. Where I am an expert, I will offer my tips or what have you, I do not search the web for an answer, I advise them to do that. I hate debating. I prefer to listen and to present my side. Knowledge can be learned more from being open than from debating.

That's so funny richiem to come up with those characters. I would have to say that I am a cross between adviser and sharebear. I think those are my two dominant modes. I dont really think I am an expert on anything much. I think your categories were very descriptive and good choices of what is going on here.

Actually, I am very proud of myself to come up with these categories.
And I think it is fun.
I think members who are sharebears can easily be advisers at times
and advisers can be just sharebears. I think these two are really
interrelated.
I am thinking most of the members here are sharebears.
Have a nice day!

Out of those five I am number 2 Expert and number 3 Sharebear.
I'm not generally an Adviser on people's personal life or relationships but I do often give advice and tips about writing for money and about earning at myLot.
I often share my own life experiences in my responses.
Sometimes I can be a be a Webworm and give a detailed answer about something after doing a bit of additional research. I can also be a Debater, but I steer clear of topics which people have really strong views about, because I know nothing I add will ever change their mind. I enjoy giving my opinion, when it's asked for, on a wide range of subjects.
I think this is a fun discussion.

I think I am in numbers 1 & 3. Not all the time that we will give advice we also share... I refrain from that number 5..
I dont like to debate or argue. I know there are healthy debates but it don't want to ruin the fun I am having when I will be here.
It might upset me if I have to debate... lol... I want to have fun... not be upset..

I also think that people who take the role of debaters mostly
find themselves in a skirmish with other members.
I have been a debater maybe 0.5% of my stay here but I only
do it in discussions which my friends have started. I don't
do it with discussions others have started.
Have a nice day!
