I had a wonderful dinner this evening.

Oh my! You made me so hungry with your post --- even if I just had lunch!!!! It sounded (and tasted) sooo good. And is the price you paid cheap enough? When I make mashed potatoes, I always use real potatoes. I find the instant one coarse. I put in garlic, cream and butter. And of course salt and pepper for added taste. Hmmmm, I think I wanna make one tonight instead of our usual rice!

that sounds real super.i have not had a meal like that in ages.i do not think you get a food like that here.we have to make it at home and we make it only very rarely as the people in my home are not very much for vegetarian food.

My last from scratch meal was last night and the night before and the night before. I very seldom eat out (too expensive) and I cook all my meals from scratch as I do not care for instant type foods.

When I was home, i used to have a lot of food made from scratch. Actually me and my mom used to do a lot of experimenting with the same. Apart from that there is a lot of fun in these kind of food. You take out your creative juices to get the best dishes. I think my mom is really good at it.

Glad you enjoyed your meal. I was at a place like this once and didnt like it so much but i grew up with processed foods lol. I mean it was good but different for me. Now I have had like real tators beofre but mostly i eat instant tators when you got kids they are so much faster and easier. My mom used to cook big meals for us when she could but I never learned how to cook like that so well.

I love home made mashed potatoes. I have not had instant mashed potatoes on a long long time. Does meat loaf count as made from scratch along with real mashed potatoes? Or a roast? I bet your dinner was really good, it sounds delicious.

wow you make me hungry imagine for twenty dollars u order a lots of food..And all the food that you eat are both yummy and delicious..Im sure both you and ur family satisfied with the food that they serve you...I try scratch meal but that was last year...from CHOWKING PROMO they have a yummy and delicious food that very afordable also..

I often cook a 'from scratch' meal. But it is great to be able to go into a restaurant and eat a good one. And, the Amish do cook wonderfully! I had the pleasure of eating in a restaurant of theirs years ago when my Uncle and his wife took me and my Mother out to eat about 75 miles from his house in Lumpkin, GA. Their baked goods are delicious, too.

When I have mashed potatoes, I used real potatoes,not instant. I don't make them too often since there isn't anybody here at home but my husband and me. But I will make them when we have a family get together.

That sounds really good. I normally make my mashed potatoes from scratch, but last week my son asked me to buy a box of Hungry Jack instant potatoes. We have had those a few times. I prefer mashed potatoes from scratch though. I cook from scratch all the time. I really enjoy it.
