Ladies do you think that some male actors get better looking as they get a little gray hair. I can't decide if they get better looking with age or if it the parts that they play that seem to make them better looking. Right now I'm thinking about Mel Gibson, Kevin Costner, Sam Elliot, Tom Selleck. What makes these men so appealing? For me I think it is the rugged parts that they play.

I am not sure if they get better looking as they age or if it's me who's aging and start finding attractive people closer to my age LOL I am not sure if I would still find them attractive when I was younger. I know that my daughter completely disagrees when I mention one of those together with the word attractive :)

I know what you mean I and my granddaughter disagree on what id good looking too. She tells me someone is and I think what is she talking about? He's not even close to good looking. Must be a generation thing.

The guys you mentioned for sure are good looking. I think that you are right, sometimes they do get better looking with age. Some of it is the parts that they play. If you notice the "pretty" boys are still pretty when they get older. Part of it is their charm, they have a certain smile. Good looks come from within too, hey must be nice people in real life. Ugly people (inside) loose their looks. Do I make sense to you. Their personality shines thru.

Yes your making sense to me. For me pretty boys are just that pretty boys with no character in their faces. You right it is their personality that comes through.

I have to agree with you there! I like the same group of male actors, and I think the 'draw' is that the characters they play are not only men of character and conviction, they also are compassionate, warm, and all that. One thing I think of with them is that they all have expressive eyes, and make their characters that much more believeable. I do think they have aged well, and the grey that they're getting just adds to their charisma of well-adjusted older men. I also think of D*ick VanDyke (as in his 'Diagnosis Murder' series), he sure aged well and looks better than his younger days lol. He doesn't always get the rugged he-man parts, he's still looking great. Isn't it a pity that society does not view females that are greying as looking better as they're aging?!

These men do play men with character t5hat are believable. They don't need all the extras that so many seem to need like the action movies. Men seem to age well. it would be nice if we women did. But we can be just as beautiful if society would let us. Age is something of beauty if society could just see it.

well, a more mature role i guess makes them more appealing. i like Patrick Dempsey compared to others that you have mentioned. and just like them he started in Hollywood way back when he was 21 years of age, and now he is on his 40s and still manages his role as a cute surgeon - Dr. Derek Shepherd in Grey's Anatomy. he's really hot!

I haven't watched much of Grey's Anatomy. But Patrick Dempsey is kind of cute. But I don't find him as appealing as some of the older actors. He is still young.
