Do The Colour Of Your Clothes Describe Your Mood?

I don't think so because I usually wear the same basic colors. It's always black or white, or navy. I don't like to shop so the choice isn't mine, I let my husband buy my clothes for me. I usually wear mens tops because I am pregnant and I don't like fluffy maternity clothes! lol! Men's t-shirts fit me the best right now and I wear a lot of sports shirts with team names! lol, I don't know the teams it's just what my husband buys so I suppose my clothes reflect his mood?

Different colors have effect on your thinking,feelings and executing. As you say with the red color you are more confident. Some people like wearing light colours some likes Fast colors. The mood is not the only factor if your mood is to wear black cloths what will be your mood sad or happy. It also need a combination of color. If you are fair complexion the black color will certainly look very good on you.

Think of a black man wearing a black shirt and black pent with black Cap how you will like it. To me one should choose cloths which by wearing should be matching and do not appear odd.

There is no denial that colors have an effect on our thoughts and feelings and they also encourage or discourage our luck also.

Hi Wolfie, I went for a colour analysis years ago and it confirmed that the best colour for me to wear was a blue red rather than an orange red and in fact when I wear a blue red I feel good automatically, it lifts my face and lifts my mood. I don't suit yellow at all so can wear a beige but not a cream. Black looks good on most people and would also emphasize your muscles. With the blues, I guess it would depend on the shade, if you have blue eyes a t-shirt matching then would make then look great and make the whole of you sparkle. I would just wear what you know you look and feel good in myself andred sounds like it does it for you so go with that one. Ellie:D

Hi wolfie, yes I believe colors do have an impact on our moods. When we look at different colors we feel different emotions, even "crib mobiles" hanging over an infants crib has vibrant colors to act as a visual stimulant so it should have the same effect on us when we use different color clothes.

When all other factors are low on priority and your mood stands out, you tend to dress accordingly.

So when I am feeling hyped up or want to be fired up, then the color I choose will likely be brighter. Conversely if I am feeling down, blue is the word isn't it? I won't necessarily choose the color blue though... just a subdued color perhaps.

Not really, for example, I have a friend who wears black clothing a lot and he isn't depressed or Gothic, he's actually happy most of the time. A lot of people think that the color black represents hate, depression, emo, etc. but it doesn't.

As for me, I where what is usually where what is comfortable and looks good on me. I also tend to where a variety of different colors so I'm not boring.

For me,i can wear different colours of clothes, as they said the colour that you choose that describes your personality and what kind of life you have. I mostly choose dark colours it's maybe because i have a sad childhood experiences, what you have in the past that described you as what you are today.that's my own opinion. cheers!

i have not thought about this question though i like colorful clothes .red is my favorate color. i am not sure that it is on behalf of my mood or idea.i just like red color as i like it after born.it maybe a kind of characteristics.

Well as far as going to work we can only wear black pants or kahaki colored pants. The red, black or white top. I try to not wear white as I stock shelves and clean up so it gets dirty too fast. Once in awhile there will be a promotion and a company will send us shirts with a product name on them. Those are usually to be worn on Saturdays only. But no color does not effect my mood except of the fact that I do have a few favorite shirts I like to workout in.
