Yes, it is true. A famous tabloid has broken a story about Gov. Palin supposedly having had an affair in the past. Click the photo to see a pic of the cover of the tabloid. I say they better have their facts in order or the Palin's are going to make a lot of money in a lawsuit. I for one still favor McCain / Palin over Obama / Biden. What do you say?

Even if she did, so what? Although the NE scored a homerun with the Edwards affairs, that can easily be wiped out by printing unsubstantiated rumors. As it is, they do have the reputation of being a rumor mill, and I think they got lucky with Edwards. I see nothing of importance there, and any attempt to cast dirt on Palin quickly loses power when it is remembered that Obama supports killing live babies who somehow survived a late term abortion. That makes Obama a baby-killer, and the democrats can add baby-killing to their list of supported immoral behaviors. Any attempt by the democrats to throw dirt on Palin and McCain for ANYTHING reeks of rank hypocrisy and duplicity.

They are trying as hard as they can to throw that dirt, too.

I pretty much don't care what people do in their private lives as long as it does not affect their public lives. NE had better have it's ducks in a row... the may have scored a homerun with the Edwards story, but that can very easily be wiped out by one false rumor. Since we are talking about a sparsely populated area, don't you think the people would have been talking about any scandal long before this? After all, we have heard about the driving records, the unwed pregnant daughter, and the like... frankly it doens't matter at all compared to the things the oppositions supports, up to and including the murder of live babies who somehow survived a late term abortion. I guess that really does make the democrats the party of baby-killers.

I seem to recall NE being sued successfully for millions by Carol Burnett some years ago. Maybe it is Gov. Palin's turn.

Tabloid rumors are just that rumors, but I would not sue. It would take a bloody court room battle that even if Palin won she would be damaged politically. This reminds me when the tabloids said that fifty Senators were actually aliens. Well this would have been easy to have smash in the court room but some times it is just better to let the public decide through the power of the pocket book. The late Sam Walton said that the free market is democracy at its best, and the people vote with their pocket book. So if no one want to read such non sense do not buy the cr*p, and sooner or later the tabloids will have to straighten up or go under.

Personally, I am surprised they aren't trying to say she is "McCain's love child" or that she is "having an affair with McCain". You know how it is - if they can't get dirt on someone they will make it up. Even if she did have an affair - so what. How MANY affairs has Bill CLinton had???? That has nothing to do with her ability to govern.

I'm glad the National Enquirer did not get any of its ideas from you. Those would be devastating.

Gee; maybe I should start writing for them. Actually, I don't think either would be that big of a problems because only the stupidest people would believe those stories and the "stupidest people" are already voting for Obama. That is one category he has wrapped up. (And, no , I do not think that everyone who plans to vote for Obama fits into that category. There are many categories that his supporters fit into.)

I say who bloody cares! The pregnant daughter angle seems to be rapidly losing its legs and I am sure that this accusation will peter out in due course as well. I hope that if it IS false they do sue because this type of stuff is getting ridiculous. And if it IS true then as I said in the start; who cares? I wish these journalists would start focussing on areas that are actually relevant to people making an educated decision come election day for once.

I don't think you should ever trust a tabloid story, even though they are really really fun to look through. I mean, I find them interesting, but I know they're not true because sometimes Dr Phil says how he isn't really divorcing his wife or getting in trouble with Oprah, though it is really fun to read that.

You are right. They must have really good lawyers to not get sued more often.

Most of the tabloids are false. I do not like the National Inquirer because the are notorious for lying. They rarely ever tell the truth.

It is an interesting paper, but really a newspaper, even a tabloid should not only sometimes tell the truth.

I'm also for McCain/Palin and am wondering if she had this affair with a two headed alien or Elvis. Anythings possible in the tabloid world.

Or a 2 headed Elvis on an alien world?

I wouldn't use this rag to cover the bottom of my bird cage for fear of corrupting my bird - he is very smart you know. Why would I care about anything they say about Palin? Now personally I don't like anything this throw back to my mother has to say, that is Palin. Don't like her. Don't like what she stands for. Don't like her politics. Don't like her belief systems. McCain's choice in VEEP makes it easy for me to finally say easy choice - which I think is somewhat unfortunate, cause I don't dislike McCain, but I deeply dislike her and would not want to risk something happening to him and ending up with her in the highest office.

Gov. Palin is helping many people to make up their minds in this election. That is a good thing. Perhaps, even more people will come out to vote.

This may take some of the attention off of all the rumors started by these papers about Obama.

I think the Obama campaign is handling those rumors rather well. This particular rumor seems to be false as well. Info has been leaking out as to its source.

This woman can hold her own, that's for sure! She has "bring it on" written ALL OVER her and will be able to withstand much more than people think. In my mind, I can see a picture of her with a little bubble above her head with the caption "IS THAT ALL YOU GOT?????" I can imagine that her husband just basks in the fact that she's got his back, should he ever need it! :) A hard shell is the very thing our next President and Vice President need!

The picture of Gov. Palin I want to see is her wearing a NRA button and a big smile while holding an M-4 carbine firing full auto at a class ceiling. Then have a caption that reads, "How a real woman breaks thru the glass ceiling!". I can't take credit for this idea, I saw it elsewhere. The individual who thought it up said anyone who can draw is free to use this idea in a political cartoon. Hope someone does.
