Last year for Christmas my sister gave me a cool pair of pajama's. They fit to a tee..until you wear them twice then they get so stretched out they get tangled up with my legs and hang down in front and are just plain uncomfortable. The second time I wear them, I hate them! When you wash them they return to normal size and are only good for one night. I am pitching them in the garbage today. Have you ever gotten any sleepwear that is so uncomfortable you have to toss them out?

hi jill i dont have your problem since i prefer to sleep with my birthday suit. Its natural you dont have to wash it and it lasts through your life. You save detergents, washing liquids, water and money. And I bet you sleep more relaxed

Our daughter bought me a nice pair of winter pajamas for my birthday. I tried them on 2 or 3 different times. If I was an ape, they would have fit. The arms were so long that rolling them up didn't help because they didn't stay in place. The legs needed about 4 inches of trimming. Ended up giving them back to our daughter and she returned them. Wearing a nightgown is not something I do any longer. It gets all wrapped around my neck by morning. Guess I'm pretty restless throughout the night. I am most comfortable in a pair of shorts all year and either a long or short sleeved shirt that fits loose.

Hi jillhill,
hmm...I have in the past and I always end up giving it to my cousin or friends! LOL! Especially when presents I will receive in exchange gifts,,ohh,, It's always small for me!
I can relate my hubby, he will always throw his stuff and I will always pick it up especially if it's not very old yet, I can always find beggars and will hand those items to them!

I do not such uncomfortable night wears. In the summer I like to wear a short pent and during winter I like a cotton pajama which is more comfortable. In the start of the summber due to the problem mosquito I use to wear Pajama. This wear is very much comfortable during sleep.

well, i also will do the same thing... i will throw away the pyjamas if it is not comfortable to wear anymore... for me, comfortable sleepwear is very important as i need to have a good night rest... and i can't have it if the pyjamas that i am wearing is disturbing me... i better buy a new one rather than unable to sleep at night... take care and have a nice day...

I stopped wearing separate dress during sleeping i just sleep in the dress which i wear from the morning unless im not sweating badly if i had to take second time bath then surely i would switch over to some other cotton dress and i dont like to wear tight fitting during night time because not only my mind needs rest but all my body as the muscles become toned up when we are asleep . So in future if you have to wear a night wear which is tight fitting on your body or uncomfortable dont wear it

Yes I had this kind of experience once .. I tried to make a gown as my night dress once .. no doubt it was all loose and airy but it had buttons in front which were very uncomfortable, I wasn't able to spread my legs at all.. because the gown was long, started getting so pissed of that night I locked that gown in the deepest the trunk in my house ...lol
Now I wear shorts with tees..
Believe its as comfortable as anything.. but cloth of the shorts are not strechable at all and they are very loose and comfortable!!
I just love my shorts!

I don't remember really. These days I just sleep in a long t-shirt, usually a Yankee shirt I have. But you bring up sleep wear which makes me think of a problem I've been having recently. Hope not too many guys read my response.
I'm talking about my boobs! I've been sleeping on my stomach because of my back, but my stupid boobs keep getting squished in an uncomfortable position. I'm constantly trying to readjust and it is driving me crazy! Any tips?

Nope. I only sleep in a man's white t-shirt.I have many of them and they are 100% cotton so they are comfortable. I only wore PJ's when I was little. The same goes for nightgowns. I don't remember when I started wearing the t-shirts but they are the only thing I will wear to bed.

I do not wear sleep wear at night.
I do wear the pants though as loung wear though.
I wear the bottoms to sit around the house when I don't feel like getting dressed.
I hate the tops.
I hate anything that is against my neck/thraot.
I think this comes from wearing shirts and ties as a Catholic School boy.
Oh gawd, do I ever hate shirts that are against my neck and especially ties.

The only pajama pants I remember getting that I didn't like to wear were satin. I thought I would really like them because they were so silky soft. The thing is, you have to have silky soft smooth skin at all times when you wear them or the hairs catch and that annoys me. I try to shave my legs every day anyway but when my skin gets really dry they don't always get as smooth as I'd like.
Long story short, I hated the satin pajamas. I don't like satin sheets either.

Hi jillhill.
Those sound like quite the pair of pajamas! I don't blame you for wanting to pitch those pjs. I've thrown out gowns that I wore for so long, they were getting rips and tears in them. I have to have things very loose for me to be comfortable enough to sleep in them. Like short, sleeveless gowns that are not fitting anywhere.

I bought a beautiful pair of silky pink pj's then realized that the bottoms were restricting (i had always worn a t-shirt or gown) and i couldn't sleep in them but they are so pretty that i wear them after my shower but take them off when i go to bed!

I'm a cute guy but I don't think my wife would approve. I used to have this problem as a kid, the elastic at the waist would stretch out and get loose then I'd have to make a fold and put a safety pin through to keep it in place. But then if I had to go to the wash room I had to undo the whole thing quickly. Nowadays I just wear a pair of shorts and t-shirt. I usually cut the sides of old clothes and use them as a mop or a rag to do house cleaning with. happy mylotting
