Will you turn off your cellphone when you are in the plane? |
|
You will be told to turn off your cellphone when you are in the airplane. Will you follow it or still let it on secretly? I will turn it off no matter what. Nothing can be much more important than all people's safety. Anything can be hold on after a few hours.

3. mimico (3257) | 1 year ago | I always used to switch off my phone when I'm on the plane, but after realizing that no one really tried to contact me during my trips abroad, I just put it on silent mode. If I'm expecting a call or even a text message then I turn off my cellphone. But most of the time it's on silent mode and I don't get any messages. Of course, I do prioritize safety and I will turn off my cellphone gladly if needed.

4. ShepherdSpy (2457) | 1 year ago | A phone left on when aboard a plane will search for a cellphone mast to connect with.It will be radiating it's signal at maximum strength trying to make that connection,(there being very few cellphone masts 36,000 feet up)....(I've never tried to make a cellphone call from a plane to figure out if that's even possible, but as the airlines ask us not to do so,I haven't..)If You are concerned about your own health from cellphone radiation or the possible effect on the aircraft's electronics,it might be best if you didn't try... I did a search for the cruising altitude of a commercial plane and found this investigation related to the reports of passengers in the 9/11 Aircraft allegedly making phone calls from cellphones to relatives..the tests were done from composite material constructed light aircraft (ie,radio wave transparent, not Commercial Metal skinned planes..) their results showed that above 2000 feet, getting a signal would be difficult, and carrying on a conversation almost impossible...aboard a commercial plane,at cruising altitude and speed, they gave the chance of succesfully connecting at about 100 to 1 against..so,not easy, and at that speed the mast handover would be difficult too.. http://www.physics911.net/projectachilles

ShepherdSpy (2457) | 1 year ago | most modern phones have an "Offline Mode" setting which can be used aboard an Aircraft, but will disable the calling and receiving function, allowing use of the non-phone functions-camera,phonebook,mp3 player, games, whatever!

| 5. codezebra (93) | 1 year ago | I turn it off. I've heard people say that it isn't really a safety hazard any more (and it kinda makes sense... how would they continue to operate planes if cell phones are a risk after... so many years of having cell phones around? they haven't come up with anything to counteract that?)
But I do have other practical reasons. Even if it were completely safe and all, a plane is my place to sleep, so I turn it off. For that reason, and also in case that it really is a safety factor.

6. aseretdd (6841) | 1 year ago | Of course i will... we need to follow all safety measures when flying... we must not let our own selfishness or wants to get in the way of the safety of others... we all know that when a plane crashes... there is mostly like to be no survivors... so all safety precautions must be followed by everyone...

9. klaudine (2177) | 1 year ago | Yes of course I would turn it off. I heard many bad things about the airplane crash or airplane accident because of this. They asked me to turn off the cell phone because of something, and that is written in the safety flight regulations. If you want to fly safe, just follow the rules. I agree with you that nothing can be much more important than our safety. When we are in the airplane, we cannot jump out when something happen like when we're taking land traveling, so that we should have been more careful of what we do up there

youless (15103) | 1 year ago | Some people are just very selfish and think they are "busy" people and then they ignore the safety regulations. That's too bad.
