Since Barack Obama what to make it an issue what Rush Limbaugh has said in the past, I thought it would be a good idea to take a look at the Mexico's immigration policies. This is what Rush Limbaugh said about Mexico's immigration policies, "And another thing: You don't have the right to protest. You're allowed no demonstrations, no foreign flag waving, no political organizing, no bad-mouthing our president or his policies. You're a foreigner: shut your mouth or get out! And if you come here illegally, you're going to jail." Well my question is take away who said what is wrong with the statement? Does not Mexico have such policies that are a 180 degrees from what we the USA have? What would be so wrong if America had the same immigration policies as Mexico has? Are we not suppose to be more like other countries, right Obama?

Most countries have strict immigration laws and they enforce them. I do not know why people think America does not have the right to have immigration laws AND enforce them. Personally I feel every last illegal needs to be rounded up and deported. If they want to come back the legal way, fine, welcome aboard. But we should not allow people to come here illegally. It is not like we don't have a legal way for them to come. We are not telling people from other countries NOT to come here. They are more than welcome, as long as the follow the proper procedures and come here legally.
I makes me mad when the illegals hold rallies and protest. THEY are the law breakers, not us. WHy should we have to change our laws just because they do not feel like follwing them? Who are they to tell the citizens of THIS country what laws we will and will not have and how we will enforce them. I find that arrogant and shows a disrespect for this country, its laws and its people.

Immigration is not the problem, the legality is. What we as a country has decided to put up with who not be allowed in Mexico, so I see a big double standard on the issue. Mexico lobbies to keep our boarder open to their citizens yet Mexico closes down their southern board to illegals. Imagine what Mexico's response would be if America adopted the same policies Mexico has to immigration.

You can bet that mexico would throw a fit. The president of Mexico has already said if we close our borders and build a fence completely around our southern boarder that he is going to go to the UN about it and sue us in the international court. What grounds? We have every legal right to do it.
It is a HUGE double standard. Do you know that if someone gets a visa to live in Mexico and applies for a job. THey can only hire that person if no natural Mexican citizens apply for it. IF one does, even if that person is less qualified, than the mexican gets it. Heck we do not even have that kind of protection here.

Lilwonders it is amazing big of a double standard Mexico has. We the taxpayers of the USA bailout Mexico at the tune of 20 billion dollars back in 1994, and to this day Mexico's second largest portion of their economy is Mexicans leaving here in America, but sending money back to Mexico. Once again Mexico needs us more than we need them.

If we adopted and enforced the same laws that Mexico has we would be called racists and jingoistic xenophobes. But then we already are called that so why not?

lilwonders456,
You only have to look at who it is doing the Name calling to find the answer to that question.
Why are only white conservatives called racist?
gewcew23,
we've survived so far. I think we'll do all right. The liberals are burying themselves anyway. The best thing to do is keep windin' 'em up and watchin' 'em dance. Three words "Blacks Against Obama" hahaha
"Keep the Change Obama"

It really bugs me too when people say we are erecting a Berlin Wall on the border of Mexico. Excuse me? Didn't the Berlin Wall forbid anyone from leaving? What is the logic behind open borders? Europe is having lots of troubles and intolerance and even abuses, from having pourous borders.. [I read a report the other day from a very reputable magazine, that some european women are donning the head scarves of their Islamic (extreme) neighbors, to avoid the vile insults that get hurled at them if they don't.. What, I ask, the heck is that!?

I have long advocated that we do the corollary to the Golden Rule. Golden Rule = Do unto others as you would have them do unto you. Corollary = Do unto others as they do unto you.

I actually agree with Mexico's policies and think we should implement them as our own... with proper thanks to Mexico for for supplying the model.
I bet it would not take long for the illegals to scoot right back where they came from.

I want my country to go back to the way it was years ago...before we had to have the women's department have the word women written in big letter on the wall in English and Spanish. It is only a matter of time before we had a dozen other languages. I am tired of people wanting to come America, then they want to change it. They can stay in their own country and change that one. And no, you cannot order your food in Spanish...order it in English or go!

It would be better if America's immigration policy were more like Mexico. They do not allow flag waving and we hate Mexico down there, so why is it all right to allow it in America? If you come to help a sick relative, and had to cross the border in a hurry, or some other reason that is an emergency, you have to go to the Immigration authority, and turn yourself in and apply for a temporary visa if you were unable to get it in Mexico.
But of course Obama does not care, he wants as many illegals as possible to overwhelm the true citizens and get a majority.
