35 times this year alone! He apparently goes 2 days free before he is back in again. He has been arrested for non violent offenses. Mostly public intoxication. This time the judge has sentenced him to 1000 days in jail! Do you think this is fair?

It seems that his guy never learns. This guy is a living proof that prisons are not educational. People get out the same or worse as they had entered.

Given what goes on in prisons, I'm not surprised. Believe it or not, there's actually like an 85% recidivism rate with people who have been in prison. With the conditions that exist, I'm unfortunately not surprised about most people being the same or worse after being in prison.

I think that he got a okay sentence. I mean whats the difference he would be just back in jail continuously anyhow every 2 days or so from being drunk and public intoxication. The judge is just saving him from getting put in jail again and again. This way also maybe gets him the help he needs to stay sober for awhile and get help to stop drinking or alteast control his drinking. I think the sentence was fair considering it was his 1,000 time in jail this year alone.

Wow. That is awful. He must be a habitual offender. I think these types of people should be put away. The law enforcement has better things to do other than to arrest him all of the time for the same old thing. They have more important cases they could be working on instead.

I heard this on our local news. I live in Lexington, KY. I think this an appropriate sentence. This guy is becoming famous for being a criminal. He's been on talk shows and everything. It's like giving him a pat on the back for commiting a crime. They said he is only out an average of two days before he commits a crime and goes back to jail and has spent a total of over 4,000 days in jail!!! Who do you think is paying for this guy to spend all that time in there? We are! The ppl of Lexington. Now, granted the stuff he's been arrested for is not bad and he's not a dangerous criminal, but he does need to learn his lesson.

Obviously, law enforcement has been very lienient with this man up to this point. Not violent offenses or not, he is breaking the law in some way. Public intoxication? One is normally arrested for this offense if they are being a public nusance as well. I think that if he hasn't learned his lesson yet, the judge felt more drastic mesures needed to be taken. Is it fair? That just depends on which side of the fence you are standing on. I am sure this man feels it is unfair, but I am just as sure that the judge and law enforcement feel they have been more than lienient with this man. The bottom line is that he has repeatedly broken the law.
