I moved three year's ago and no I'm not a neat packer. I get alot of things in one box how ever. clothes in pillow cases and tied up bedsheets. LOL easyer and cheaper. My girlfriend and my sister told me to go stop. So they finished packing for me. I didn't have a problem they did. So I got sent to new house to wait to unpack. Which I didn't get once it got to me. They gave me all the wrong kitchen stuff first. No I'm not orginized at all. But hey it works for me.

No, I find it so hard to pack stuff up. I am not very organized and I think you have to be in order to pack well. Most of my stuff does not get broken or anything, but I combine miscellaneous stuff together into boxes. And I never organize the boxes into the appropriate rooms when I get to the the new house either.
Oh well, at least I try...
Have a great day and happy myLotting!!!

When I moved I didn't have much to move. the appartment had furniture in it and I only had clothes and stuff to take so I threw them all in a box just before we left. I don't think I would be a neat packer cause I don't like to move and wait til the last minute to do anything. I am not much organized either and don't liek moving at all so would not want to waste much time fixing it for when I do move.

since i got married till the time that me and my children left my husband, i transfered from one house to another for maybe 7 times or more. it was very tiring, but yes i am a neat packer that even we will not unpacked it is eay to locate the things that is still inside the box. i even put tags on the box or at the side to remind me what is inside the box.

The last time we moved... it was only a few meters away from the old apartment... so there was really no need to pack everything in a bag... and we were able to little by little move our things... so the major move only involved the large furnitures...

I have moved several times, including a 1600 mile move 3 1/2 years ago, then moved to another house 2 years ago. I have to say I am a neat packer. I pack almost everything into boxes, they are much easier to stack, with the exception of things like bedding, towels, etc. those I normally use a large trash bag. I also label everything, in labeling I include the general contents and which room it goes to. It makes it much easier to find things once you are moved, and it also makes unpacking easier. I would hate to have to dig through things searching for one particular item. I also pack one box that is stuff I know I'll need that first morning in a new house, coffee maker, coffee, cups, sugar; bathroom stuff that will be needed immediately.

It really depends on how far I'm moving. Like one time I was crossing states and so I packed my things really neatly so nothing would get broke but another time we were moving a few miles down the road, that's when everything got basically thrown into boxes and dumped at the new place. lol

I am not really that neat but I see to it that I have put the labels correctly. Like in a box, I make sure that it is categorized correctly.

When I have moved in the past I try to keep everything organized and labelled. Then when we get to the new house the boxes can be put into the appropriate room. No hassles this way. I hate moving people that have not even started to pack...totally ticks me off and slows things down so much. I see no reason why people do this as most know that they are moving and can at least start packing.

I've only moved back and forth about 5 times, four of those being while my husband was in the service. Every time I packed, I made sure everything was packed in boxes, all breakable objects secure, and all clothing in suitcases or boxes. It is easier to pack for each room and then be able to put those boxes in the rooms where they will be unpacked. And it's much easier to clean up, as well.

When it comes to us packing so we can move, it will start out with us packing our stuff really neat into the boxes and then all of a sudden everything will end up being put in the boxes. One time when we moved I started to pack stuff by the rooms. So Kitchen stuff was in it's own boxes and so on. But all of a sudden that stopped about 20 minutes later because it was taking to long. So we would pack bedroom stuff and livingroom stuff together. The way I see it your going to unpack all the boxes when you are fully moved into the new place. But I do try every time to make sure our stuff is packed nice and neat.
