Ain't life grand? Yep, you heard me correctly..... Last night I went to sleep as a 36 year old man and this morning I woke up as a 16 year old! There I was, sleepily staggering into the bathroom to wash my face to wake up to start the day..... And lo and behold TWO pimples have magically appeared on my face! One on my forehead and one on my cheek! I have miraculously been transported back to the days of my youth in a matter of hours! lol. Now how can I be upset at this? I am obviously far more youthful than I give myself credit for right? Have you had the same happen to you? Did you feel upset to suddenly have pimples on your face or did you get a tad nostalgic like me? I have to go now and build a fort, fly kites, hang out at a shopping centre to try to build up the courage to talk to girls; and find myself a video arcade..... I might as well milk my new found teenage years right?

LOL... You know what, I am actually 20 year younger perpetually. I never kind of get away with the pimples. I think they, together with my specs, have been my pals since past 16 years. I am so blessed to have them with me all the time. I would like to take this opportunity to thank them through your lovely post. They have been wonderfully giving and taking when time demanded. Every weekend I wake up to find the old one being replaced by a fresh luscious one! Its some other thing that the scar remains and my face now has been reduced a cemetery of the pimples. And guess what, I don't forget to offer prayers. Coming to nostalgia, I am out and out a nostalgic person. I find myself soppy with every season change and love transfiguring my good old days like never before.

I think that you would be one of the first people to ever thank your pimples on a public forum mimpi. Thank goodness this isn't the Oscars instead! At least your older pimples are respectful of the younger pimples and make room for them. The LAST thing you would want is an ongoign battle between them all! lol. Thanks for responding and it is great that you can be light hearted about it. Keep nostalgia alive! (Maybe we should come up with a bumper sticker that says this??)

I'm a little older then you, and get this much more often. Does that mean that i should take the courage to do this more often? or does it mean i'm more the 16 year old ? or i'm really not the age is say i am ? It was always in the mind James. So you needed a couple of pimples to remind you this is it ? Enjoy yourself at the mall and let's have that kite flying competion

That's great! It is nice to see you have an imaginative sense of humor about it. But then again you're a guy. To a woman like me who is the same age.. it's horrible. When I wake up with new eruptions.. I yell. I AM NOT A TEENAGER ANYMORE WHA DID I DO TO DESERVE THIS! Then I go put a bag over my head until they are gone Ok not really.. but that's what I feel like doing. Maybe I should use your approach. It makes you feel better and younger to imagine yourself as a teen with no worries, bills, kids etc.. I think you may be on to something Good luck with the girls.. and remember.. don't pop their bra straps if you like them... we hate that

You DO remember to put air holes in the bag right? Because if you don't, you end up passing out and then they end up having to take the bag off anywats and will see the pimples! Yes, I have this uncanny ability to con myself into thinking everything is always great! Give it a try and you might just be able to kid yourself as well! lol. So the bra strap popping is a no-no?? Damn, I STILL do that! Thannks for responding to the discussion dizzblnd.

Uh huh, and how did your wife take waking up next to a 16 year old?*LOL* I do occasionally get a small pimple on my chin, but no big deal, it is small, it goes away quickly enough, then I don't see it again for a year or two. Does this make me nostalgic? Heck no! Don't wanna go back there ever again!*L*

She took it very well indeed Bo, thanks for asking! She deals with my childish behaviour most days already so it wasn't much of a stretch for her actually. So you get two year pimple cycles? Interesting. Must be the organics for sure.....

Hi James. Add teeth braces and you will have that perfect look (lol). I feel upset when i see a pimple on my face. I do not get all nostalgic like you I am a woman and i could sometimes be so vain, so the "nostalgia" part to me is more like horrific. :) Just like high school days, i would refuse to go out when i have a pimple, or i would just cover it with a gauze. It would look like an injury, and i would look like a sweet (and in distress) high school girl again. :)

Hi Pinky! Long time no see..... Teeth braces? OK, I will try to find some to complete the makeover then! Yes I think my wife would be somewhat the same aqs you and cover up or not go out; but us guys don't care! lol. I know what caused it too. It is all those Middle Eastern sweets we bought that they have been making for Eid! Thanks for responding.

I am just assuming it's them pinky because I ate a HEAP of them the night before! lol. Maybe it's all the sugar and honey or something? Anyway, I enjoyed them so who cares if they WERE the cause of the pimples!

What's in those Mid Eastern sweets that caused your breakouts? We also have lots of them here but nobody seems to get pimples from eating too much of these sweets. They taste divine! Happy Eid by the way.

Well, I think many of us can relate with going to sleep thinking everything is OK and same as yesterday, and wake up and have some Pimples on our face. It is amazing how they just suddenly appear from time to time, and why. But I have never had a nostalgic moment such as yours, but it would be nice to revert back like this. Hope you continue to enjoy these memories.

Hello, James! Welcome to my age! I am sixteen, and I know what pimples are all about. lol I have a lot of them, they are everywhere in my face! Hmm... I really enjoy my age. It is an age in which you are not attached to any girl: I'm free to try to conquer any of them, without having to worry if I'm going to be slapped in the face or not. I am trying to get together with a friend of mine, she is really cute and special for me. I like her, lol, but I don't know if she likes me. And know what? That's what the fun is about. The excitement: what if I kiss her? What if she doesn't like me? What if she does? All those questions, which are troublesome for the larger part of the teenagers, are the pleasure in my life. I gotta change and try my best to conquer her, which I am already doing. Man, it really rocks. I want to be sixteen forever, lol. Just enjoy the other things aswell. The only bad point in my life is that I study twice a day, so I stay most of the time out of home to study... But if I didn't, I wouldn't meet half of the girls that I know today. Respectfully, Munhozmib.

Hi munhozmib! So you are 16? It's a shame you are not nearby then because we could have turned the town upside down yesterday! Enjoy your teenage years and keep every joyous memory in your heart and mind always. The future is yet to be realized and you are at a point in your life where everything and anything is possible. You are exactly right regarding the fun in courting and the thrill of the chase too. Enjoy it, embrace it and believe in yourself always. Yes you will be 17 soon but you can always be 16 in your heart forever if you so wish! And don't knock the study either. Time goes by regardless munhozmib, so you can either wake up 10 years from now as an educated 26 year old or an uneducated one! Either way you are going to be 26 so make the most of it! (I hope you get what I mean here) Thanks for responding to the discussion and live each day like you mean it!

James, you have really made me laugh today. I am a forty year old woman and yes, occasionally there is a pimple that shows up. Not often though but I do think to myself "Oh no, what's going on here, I am not a teenager anymore". Why don't you have a great time strolling down memory lane and enjoy your youth before the pimples disappear. Lol! Milk it for all that it is worth!

Hi James, It seems that you get lucky once again!! I really envy these wacky experiences that you are having I can honestly say that I don't have pimples anymore. I used to have them like a real rash though in my teenage years. I was going through bottles and bottles of biactol in order to remove these blemishes! Then, all of a sudden they were gone a few years later. Anyway, I have one spot that just won't go away and it seems like it's going to remain for the rest of my days. Enjoy the teenage phase while it lasts, have fun. Andrew

When I was a teen I could almost play dot to dot with my pimples, they were the bane of my existence. But since I gotten into my thirties, I don't see them much..thankfully maybe it is the skin care solution I have been using a few times a week that helps prevent them. My brother though has cystic acne and can't seem to get rid of his.

That great , so your four year younger than me now :D im elder than you :D , we get irritated if the pimples pops in our face but your enjoying it, i just sit and cover my face as i get pimples around the cheeks , my cheeks are my highlight but it gets dirty with this look , there is someone who is happy to have pimples thats nice and funny to know! I dont beleive in age people always should be more youthful in their heart , age is not a factor for old or young but heart, mind matters... I look twenty years younger than my age. We were in a restaurant today and the lady talked to my husband and said you should look at the seniors menu. She did not look at me. And I got rid of those pimples of my youth by getting pregnant, but now I get these cosmetic pimples under my skin like that actress who talks to ghosts. Trouble is that when I get these pimples, I do not magically lose those one hundred and ninety pounds. They are still with me. Guys have it lucky. Us women can never go back to the weight we had when we were teens.

hi James nope I do not get nostalgic for the miserable days of my teenage years. I was always the last to be picked for any kind of game, and the one whom nobody would dance with. no being an adult was altogether wonderful in comparison. My teen years were lonely and most unpleasant. my adult years were ever so much more interesting and pleasant.

Wouldn't that be the coolest. I'd be a little scared though because when i was 16 i was into all sorts of mischief. I could only imagine being 16 now. But i don't know if it'd be better or worse, i guess it would all depend on who were my peers and where my outlook on life would be. My outlook is much better now than before but i think it's because i've grown up not because of the day in age it is now.
