In these days of mad rush in mylot, getting hardly one or two responses itself is a very very tough job. All those who are trying different methods to attract attention to their topics and posts know the tough game, of getting a response to thier topic. However crazy the headline be.
BUT, i have just seen a topic, which is almost as casual as any other topic, getting A whopping ONE HUNDRED TWENTY THREE responses. YES. you have read that correctly. 123 responses, at the time of this post.
Can anyone try the same feat?
Goodluck to you all mylotters.

I've got a couple with over 100 responses and two with 120 responses. I guess they were popular topics because every now and then a new response will pop up. The most I have is 121. It can be done and its a bit exciting and a bit unnerving to check your inbox and see it explode like that.

The closest I got to even a hundred was around 80 responses and it only happened once. 123 is not the highest I saw here, there was even 700 plus responses in one topic. I think it's hard and I really admire the user who started discussions that get such high number of responses. I wish I could do that too.

I've got a couple of discussions with over 300 responses. I started a discussion 3 days ago and had 91 responses. It was easy to get responses back then. I had a friend who gets around 230-260 responses everytime he starts a topic. There are strategies involve to achieve this. The most important thing is that you should have an interesting topic.

Would be nice to get so many! I guess if you have a large friend base and ask the right question, you'll get many responses.

THAT is the most funniest thing, about the other topic I was mentioning. It is just an offshoot, and off beat, run-of-the-mill topic. and got that many.
And, did you read, there are supposedly topics, with over 1000 responses, here recently in mylot. The topic was about the first page you visit once you get on internet.
Thankyou, I got nearly 30 responses here.

Wow I can only dream of getting responses like that for my discussions. At present I think the most I ever achieved was 17 responses to one of mine. But 123 wow that's some achievement and if there's any discussions out there that have achieved even more they have got my full respect.

I just recently came back to posting more often on MyLot. I would love to learn how to get more people to respond to discussions. I am sure something have changed since I was gone. i am trying and making sure my comments have some what of a length to them.

wow!! that's much!!hehe
i have seen other mylotters who are garnering more responses. i dont really know how they do it though..
i have never had that number of response to any of the discussions that i have started. i am very lucky enough if the responses reach 15 hahaha.. but really most of my discussions would end up with less than 10 responses!!

hi consulttrainer that is a lot. I imagine anyone can try the same thing but you need a bit of personality. I like it fine'
when I get thirty five or forty five response as more than that makes it hard to do anything else but just reply to responses.I think the most I ever got was 85. most of the time its just twenty up to thirty. I know one person who does most of the time get around 122 but he oozes with personality. that is something I dont have so much of myself.

Yeah I agree it is very difficult to get that many responses. They may have been on mylot a long time and lots of friends I supposes. I have seen like 140 it is hard to believe, but maybe on day we will get there.

Maybe it's not impossible. But just seldom happen. Maybe it just so happen that the topic keeps on popping on everybody's homepages, and thus seen by many people and responded to.
