I feel they are all alike they think in more or less similar fashion and they have same kind of emotions, as we feel. They are equally friendly and cooperative, this I have come to know after interacting with them through mylot.

I thought that americans were dislike by other people in the World. I realized that we are all so similar even if we come from different backgrounds.

lol...I didn't have any misconceptions about people from different countries because I have interacted with people from different countries (in real and on chat) even before I came to myLot. So, I was not under any misconception. But I have had a few light arguments with a few Indians (or maybe asians) who were under the impression that all Americans are too liberal in their viewpoints and that the kids were let too free without any discipline.

So what have you come to know about their liberal views and the kids Sandhya? I am really interested to know.

I didn't have that view (other Indians did). I knew that Americans also have values and principles and tried to bring up their kids with discipline. It's just that the media potrays westerners in a different light and Indians assumed that was the case with all Americans (foreigners actually). I believe that each person (irrespective of the nationality) should be seen as an individual. It's very difficult to generalize characteristics based on nationality. As you know, Indians themselves are very different and we can generalize based on states....but even within that there are variations. Btw, people who meet me usually say that they didn't realize I am a Keralite...I don't have the look or the accent or the general ideas of a typical 'mallu'....maybe I'm cosmopolitan..lol

Ironically most of the computers and its parts are made in China which is in Asia, and India produce most number of Software Engineers in the world. I wont be surprised if the computer you are using have a tag written made in china in the back. Cheers, Tutul

I don't think I have any misconceptions about the people of other countries. I don't like to judge anybody without knowing them clearly. So there is no chance to broken any belief. But after coming to mylot I learned many things, especially some of their cultures, they are totally different from Indians. I felt most of the people are nice. I think it depends on the individual and not depending on the nationality.

Well I must confess that all the pre conceived, and sometimes negative notions that had been drummed into my head ,from textbooks and medias, regarding people of other countries, right from childhood, have been washed away after I started mylotting.I have able to establish an instant rapport with many people, spread all over the world. My surprise and happiness knows no bounds when I communicate and share my thought with them. They are all people who think and emote like me,inspite of the vast geographical and cultural differences. Infact after I began mylotting,I have begun to look at the world with new and interesting and concerned eyes, and I can no longer look at any event or happening or mishap in any part of the world, with disconcerned eyes any more, and is of special significance to me,for it will be home to one of my many "special mylot friends".....

Yes.It is a strange pleasure to see the strong family bondage and the emotions between the parents and children, husband and wife and elders to young people. It is so nice to know that a human being is the same regardless where he lives in this earth.
