I'm a traditional girl so I love reading hardbound books but I don't mind reading in other formats. Care to share your thoughts?

I personally like hardbound and softbound books. If its for classes or if i have to flip around I prefer hardbooks. I like softbound books for novels and leisure reading.

I definitely prefer reading the hardback books also. I have been reading more within the last month than I did all summer. I prefer motivational books. I like to be inspired to do better in my life.

I don't mind softback books either. And when I am in my car, sometimes I might listen to an audio cassette that I have received as a gift. Right now I am reading 4 books and have the 8th cassette to Financial Freedom in my car. That's the most I have ever had going on at one time. I need to get through some of this.

Thank you for starting this discussion, it really got me to thinking. Have a great day!

I prefer audiobooks because I can get through books so much more quickly on audio and I get a lot more out of them that way. I used to hate reading and would scoff at people who thought that reading could be fun. But then I got audiobooks and it was fun.

Audiobooks is my preferred format, but I'll also read e-books I guess you could call them (paperbacks that have been scanned in and re-formatted to text files, then read by the computer).

I like reading "paper" books as well because I think that it's a lot more homely. An Audiobook is also nice, but I would probably only have those for a "read along" for kids. I actually had a few of those when I was a kid. As for the preference between hard and soft back bound books I would have to say I prefer harder bound as they are not easily torn as softer bound books are!

I think I will stay very traditional, also. Good old paper books. As for a choice between hardbound and paperback, I really have no specific preference, though most of my books are hardcovers. I buy many of them at used book stores, often in really good shape.
I love to read and always seem to be carrying a book around to read when I have a spare few minutes.

Hi, I prefer soft cover books. I love reading my books, either on the sofa or in bed, so hardcover books are rather heavy. I've not tried any audio books yet; as to ebooks - they're even more difficult to read. I've to sit and stare at the screen ... and I can't very well read from my notebook in bed!

I like paperback books. I can bring them in a pocket or pouch and am able to read anywhere. I read in bed and like the light weight of paperbacks. Hardcovers are too heavy for bedtime reading.

I'm a reader, so I'll take my reading material in any format I can, whether its a book, an audiobook or an e-book.

Although, if I have to rate them by choice, I would prefer the paper copy. There is just something tangible about a book, and the feeling of turning pages. I love the smell of new books, thats why hanging out of bookstores is something I like to do. Although I haven't done much of that lately, because I end up spending far too much money.

Audiobooks is my second choice. I get to rest my eyes, and simply listen. Great for commuting or when doing some other chores, and still get some catching up with my "reading" list.

Ebooks are last, but if thats the only way I can get hold of a book, i'll take it. The good part about it is I can enlarge the text and that helps my poor eyesight.

So yes, books in any form, I'll read them.
