I have cut back big time this year on presents, I just don't have the money to be honest, and for me Christmas is so damn commercialized, I have told my relatives that we should all cut down as none of us can afford it and I would hate them to spend money on something I am not going to use or appreciate. I tend to buy things throughout the year for people it saves on the mad Christmas rush! I am not a keen shopper so I cheat and do most on the internet and it's cheaper that way too!

It's likely that the Christmas becomes to be much more commercial than before. Although this is not our official holiday, but having a dinner in the restaurants will be much more expensive than at usual.

With all the discussions here on mylot, the Christmas spirit started early with me too, and i already bought a few gifts myself. My girl just expressed a wish that she would like a tree in her grandma's house here in Bucharest and i am thinking of surprising her with it as i know she will love it :D. Best wishes friend and... Merry Christmas :D

Christmas Tree - A must have during christmas. A fully decorated tree with loads of presents under it waiting to be opened!
Well, with so many sale going on right now, I am sure I will if a good gift comes along. No harm getting something nice, especially if it is on offer, early. As long as the receiver is going to like it. you can never tell when you are going to be going shopping. With the end of the year coming, so many things need to be tidied up in the office. You never know whether you will be going shopping or not. So rather than join the christmas last minute shopping rush, do it as we go along, and it will save one a bunch of headache and rushing come nearer to the festival.

Hi there youless. Since October I started to prepare for the christmas presents, I dont want to join the christmas rush. I do shop present in advance. If I found a nice thing I would buy it and keep it for the future, for me to save time and money. Of course I will be out of budget in december if I will buy the gifts all in one time. But still I always end in a last minute shopping (LOL). Have a nice day.

I have already started preparing for christmas. First, I did search my heart if there be a need to clean it because it's full of sins. Second, I humbled myself and trust Jesus as my Savior because He's the reason for the Season. Third, I decorated my heart with good deeds to my fellowmen. Fourth, I pray and hope to shine like christmas light for the world to see Jesus.

I don't spend much time on buying the gifts..I get them .but I don't stress over them. I am much happier just celebrating Christmas like it should be ..remember the fact that GOd became man and gave us His Son in the huggable form of a baby..

I think for this year I am not going to buy any christmas presents for friends and myself because I have another big thing going on early next year and I am going to have to spend money. That's why I told all my friends that this year, I am going to save up for my plan. Luckily they are all very understanding!

As soon as i get money. lol Seriously, it really depends on the money I have at hand during the occasion. Because usually, I am giving out money not gifts. I am used to it rather than buying presents on the store and having it wrap.

In fact Christmas isn't our traditional festival, too. But we are still happy to have it because there will be Christmas trees in the big department stores and everywhere has a selling promotion.

I started preparing gifts since October by buying one gift at a time. The reason for my early preparation is to avoid Christmas rush and cramming. I decided to buy toys for my brothers and cousins because I have a lot of cousins. I also started to decorate the house last week.

Probably 2 weeks before Christmas. I can not spend too much time and go crazy. Two weeks is more than enough. Money wise is much better to relax and do a little bit at the time. I am not in Christmas mood yet.

Hi youless, though I'm not a christian I still love this traditional festive season very much. Yeah, the outlets in the shopping malls, the restaurant and hotels are busying to decorate their places with the all the attractive christmas stuffs like santa claus, christmas tree, ... I don't prepare any christmas presents but I will send christmas greeting cards to my friends who are christmas to greet them merry christmas. I will prepare christmas gifts only if my friends invite me to attend the christmas celebration in the church or in their house. posting and have a nice day.

You are like me. Although Christmas is not an official festival here, but it's no doubt it's becoming much more popular than before. I usually send E-cards as the gifts

I am already thinking about it but most of my x'mas presents are targeted for kids and to make things easier I'll ask the toy company to choose and pack the presents for me.

I started buying gifts last week of September... and i am almost finished with them... so by the end of November... i will be wrapping them up... i don't really buy everything in one shopping trip... since i wouldn't be able to carry them all because i usually take my daughter with me... Tomorrow i will be going to the mall to buy more gifts... not the expensive ones... only those that i can afford but they would surely appreciate...

I've made up my mind and whether or not I have a huge amount of money on my hands I would start preparing for Christmas gifts by late November to mid-December just in time for Christmas and my payout here on MYLOT and CIAO. I'm really counting on my payouts to help me a bit on this Christmas shopping thingy.

Hello youless. I don't make any preparations for the festival as it is not celebrated in my family. But we buy some food to eat and celebrate it in the classroom on Christmas Eve on campus. Good night.
