well tonight i start painting my dining room color terakota dont know whats in englsih word.the color is like light yellow or appricot and i dont like it.its not bright enough.so now if i buy a red color to mix it how does the color looks?pleaseeeeeee help me coz i will buy the red paint tomorrow to mix it

thansk Lakota.this is the problem of my invention hahaha.it turns out different to my expectation but i bought yellow orange to mix it and looks cool.

There is no way to be sure, since you don't say what base was used in each paint. Because of the way paints are made the colour can turn out very different to what you expect.

i have white paint then i bought i small can of appricot color and mixed it and now i dont like it i want it darker.so if i add red to apricot whats the result on it?

...hahaha.well my imagination was wrong.it turns out different coz i put too much white on it.so now i bought adddtional yellow orange to mix the terra-cotta and looks cool.

Hi bombshell...I have been wanting to paint my front room for the last 8mnths but what colour I dont know yet \i am not good with colours..in your case I would get a tester red and take abit of the the teracota mis them and see if you like the colour if so then do the same with the whole tin..other than that hun I can't help...hugs littleowl

What color are you trying to create? If I knew that I could help more. I also don't really know your taste. Do you want a more bolder brighter color? Something darker, or something much lighter? Do you want to stay a yellowish/peach looking color? Or do you wish to chnage your color completely? There are so many possiblities when combining paints? Remember whites will lighten the color you already have. I think a dark red will make it more of a tan or brown. Possibly an orange. I would really love to see a color when you are done.

I'm not sure. It seems to me that it would turn out to be an orange color if you put it over top of the yellow. It may even turn out to look a little pinkish.

kiltz it and start all over before you have a real mess on ya hands......painting is hard enough....
