OK, I think we should all band together, declare ourselves banks and get in line. We'll split the money evenly among us, to support our "bankness". Hey, it worked for American Express!
If it wouldn't cost us anything to do it, I would really do it -- but as a PROTEST, not a scam.

The bailout is a failure and Paulson is already changing direction.
Here is one take on this mess...

What I really want to know, is why Barney Frank has not been removed from his position after being so obviously clueless as evidenced by his handling and denial of the problems that later occurred?

*laughs at being reminded of the joke in my own bailout discussion*
*holds up my wallet* I'm a bank!
Lets all write letters to the Secretary of the Treasury to let him know!
I like this idea of a protest, it's creative and I think alot of people would do it.

xP, I'm sorry I missed your bailout discussion!!!
I am really wanting to organize something to make our point to the Congress, but I gotta refine it some.

My husband and I actually ARE a bank!
Several of our kids owe us money, a couple of the nephews owe us money and a few who aren't related, too. Some of them will never pay us back...where do we sign up for a bailout.

Haha! That's a good one. Why not though? I mean, if they are going to bail out the mortgage companies, the banks, insurance companies, and now the automakers, why not us? The best part is after we take all that money out of the hands of the American taxpayer, we get to take a huge fancy vacation and spend hundreds of thousands of dollars on a big party like the guys at AIG! IT's a great idea. Sign me up.
