I have noticed that a lot of people don't read the discussion they just read the subject and thats it!

The subject isn't always the only question and some times really doesn't have much to do with the actual discussion! For instance I have a discussion out there with the subject "how do you do it and what do you call it" The discussion is do you vacuum or dust first and do you call a vacuum - a vacuum sweeper or what. My point is that first line has really nothing to do with a vacuum - you would ONLY know that if you read the discussion part.

Or there is my "perfect present" discussion where it talks about what is the perfect present YOU bought for some one else - not what YOU get for you. Again you would ONLY know that if you read the WHOLE discussion!!

What discussions have you started that people were totally off base in responding to? Are you guilty of NOT reading the WHOLE discussion?? Do you post a question in the subject or a general idea or some thing else?

I have to admit I'm ambivalent about some of the way out there subjects - probably meant to grab attention for the discussion. Some subjects just irritate me and some are intriguing enough to find out what the discussion is really about. So, yes, I do read the whole discussion.

I don't post many discussions anymore - brain drain, can't think of any lately. So I don't post questions, probably couldn't think of a good one to play off my discussion. I'm just enjoying answering discussions lately.

I have been doing a little of both. I respond to way more then I start but I always make sure to read the discussion. I have found that the subject can be more intresting then the discussion so I go on to the next one. In fact I think I read more then I acutally respond to!
