Continue to smoke that 1 cigarette per day if you're not afraid of dying. If you are afraid, then stop smoking 100%. If you want to see how black your lungs are, ask your doctor to use those mini water canon and clean your lungs. You'll see nothing but black stuff coming out from your throat.

And if you don't care about your own health, please care for those around you.

Finally, check up is not needed because you already know you won't be healthy by smoking.:) Sad to say, it's just a matter of how soon you're going to die by continuing that smoking habit of yours.

I really hope you can quit it for good. It's not too late yet.

i am not sure cos that is your body and i suggest you go for a checkup if you are worried. but as a smoker, 1 -4 cigarettes daily is not a big deal. i am not a smoker but my friends around me are. they will smoke at least 2 packets daily and that is about 40 sticks and they are doing fine. I am not sure and while it has been proven that smoking is bad for the body, i had came to know about several cases of friends and relatives contacting illness once they stop smoking. It is like they are ok and doing fine when they are smokers but once they quit, illness come to haunt them and they will have severe illness. my grandma is one example. she was a heavy smoker and would smoke about 1-2 packs a day. she was about 60+. then when she tried to quit and in less than a month, she was diagnosed with cancer and passed away soon. so some claimed that smoking keep them going and if stop, they will fall sick. this is what smokers claimed

Often times if people try to quit cold turkey their body will get upset with them. What many people don't know is that when you smoke you intake chemicals that overtime your body will come to think it needs so when you take away those chemicals without replacing them with something you're basically going without something as important as food or water as far as your body is concerned. Many people will have less health hazards if they either quit slowly or use smoking cessations such as the nicotine patch or the gum and such. It is extremely unlikely that the cigarettes are keeping them healthy, they just go about removing the chemicals from their body in the wrong way.

Good thing you've already had it minimized.
The next logical step, is of course to stop the habit completely.
Yes, you should go to the doctor for a needed check-up and have a look on your physical condition. Your chest pains might be an indication that you have cardiovascular and pulmonary disorder or something.
Stay healthy. Quit it bro.

Well, it's definitely your choice and your own decision if you like to hear the condition of your lungs from a doctor or a health expert. Aside from this, he is in authority to tell you better ways to quit smoking. If you are pretty well-off, then go on with it. But if you have barely enough cash, I'd suggest that you quit smoking this very instant.
You are fully aware that this is a health hazard; and aside from this, you already started feeling the negative effects of smoking. Many people, particularly smokers, claim that this is a bad habit and a difficult one to break. But if you're really worried about your health and you're willing to quit it, you should discipline yourself from now on.
For instance, if you feel like puffing a cigarette in a day; you might try replacing it with candy or bubblegum instead. Aside from the mild chest pains you're feeling now, it might surprise you to notice your teeth and gums getting dimmer, too.
I'm not a smoker and never been but I believe that you can quit smoking if you put your heart into it. Further, you are less addicted than other people I know who have been smoking for at least five years. So, I'm quite confident that you can quit this bad habit in the soonest possible time. Good luck.

If you are having chest pains you know you need to go to the Dr.
That isn't a question you should be asking. Not anyone. Let
someone you trust go with you. But yes you should go.
It is now time to get real in your life.
If you only smoked 4 cigurates a day, you can quite smoking.
That shouldn't be a problem for you. now you are down to 1
sigurate a day.

i didn't pay attention to it. cuz it stopped and i never smoke.

for you i think you need go and have a check of your chest.smoking can cause a lot of disease.
for your health you need a check.you can calm down till you make sure your chest are okay.it's for health.

I'm also a smoker who is trying to quit. It's really a hard process. I was smoking about half a pack a day and I'm now down to 2 or 3 smokes a day. I find the more I can keep my body and mind busy doing something the longer I can go without a cigarette. Exercise also seems to help me. If I can get really tired with a good workout it'll help me not want one for even longer. Just some tips, I hope they help.

hello unagie,

I admire you because you have strong determination to quit smoking. Smoking is very dangerous to your health and you may acquire chronic illnesses in the future, as early as now, you better kick off the habit for good. There are many ways to stop smoking, I already wrote several articles about this topic and I will send to you my write ups through a private message board.

You know, smoking is a form of addiction, as long as nicotine overtook your system it is hard to combat the habit without lapses. First, you have to determine your risk factor and your reasons why you have to smoke, if you have to smoke because your friends smoke, try to stay away from them for a while and go somewhere else. Do not drink alcohol because sometimes it is a triggering point to smoke again. Eat plenty of fruits and vegetables and drink fruit juices and water to eliminate toxin brought by nicotine.

You should be determined to quit smoking, learn to resist the temptation as much as possible. I think you are not that addicted to smoking because you are still young, so better quit it now. If you feel the urge to smoke, then grab a bottle of fruit juice to counter act the longing of cigarettes. Do brisk walk and exercise everyday to avoid depression and frustration which sometimes the triggering point of smoking. For more information how to quit smoking, open your private message boaord, I will send to you my written articles. Goodluck and always keep your determination high. Pray to God for guidance, I know He will not forsake you.

Sorry i will be brutal too. I lost my father when i was 6 years old. He was a heavy smoker. The only memory i have of him was him coughing his guts up!
Please get that checkup and do what the doctor says. You will live, for a while,
to regret it if you dont.
