YIPPEE - I Can Send MyLot Private Messages Again! Browser Problem.

Hi Ellie, I'm so pleased to hear you sorted the problem, I had wondered if it was your browser myself as I know you've been having probs, my partners ace at the pc and he normally sorts any probs out, if I can't. I switched to firfox because it is a much stable browser and can handle what I want to do on my site, than some others which can't cope with it for some unknown reason, I was using internet explorer and had loads of probs with it and it was slow compared to what I use now. I am so glad that its been finally fixed! Thanks to Mozilla Firefox. As fr e, ellie, I have encountered serious problem opening some banking sites with some browsers and later on I found that it worked ok with IE or Opera. Hope you are having a great time! LOve and Huggles.

I'm glad to hear you got it all worked out. I am having some trouble with mylot. There are three friends on my list whose discussions have not been getting to me. They are on my friend list still, and their notifications are on, but I don't get their discussion notifications in my e-mail. Having so many people on my friend list, I depend on getting the notifications so I don't have to sift through my friends to find their discussions. So far I only know of three people's discussions that are not getting to me. I think there might be more. Mylot has told me they will fix it for the past three months. It hasn't been fixed yet. I don't know if they know how to fix it.

Cool, I hate computers when they don't work. I keep a sledghammer handy just in case mine starts acting up. (taps sledgy on computer desk)

Good for you and for that friend for getting the problem fixed. Doesn't Firefox rock? I did have problems with Internet Explorer and some other Internet Explorer knock offs. I found that Firefox works the best.

That is wonderful. I am glad that it is working again for you. I know things like that can be very fristrating.

Good for you. I've never tried it. It took forever for me to reach 200 post I forgot what the goal was...copy and paste I think. I don't know how to use the emicons or if I can for that matter. So, I have become content with simply typing. ;-)

Hey! How strange that you couldn't send private messages for months! I myself have never experienced this kind of problem. I'm glad to hear that you are now able again to answer your private messages. :) I use firefox too and I think it's a great browser. Anyway, enjoy sending loads and loads of private messages. ^^

Yay Ellie!!! Doesn't it feel good when you are able to resolve a computer problem? I am so frustrated by my lack of knowledge when it comes to my computer.I don't even know where to look to find my browser. I have this problem that whenever I forwar a joke to my twin, she never gets just one copy. The last time she received 45. It has happened to a couple other people but only a couple of times. It's mostly betweem me and my twin. The first time came from her. Now it seems to be in my computer. I don't even know how to clean sweep it. I have a virus protector. It is called Trend MicroPC_cillin Internet security. Does this sound familiar to you? I probably downloaded something that is messing with my computer. If you can tell me how to find my browser, I would be so grateful.xoxoxo leenie

Hi ellie~ I have that same problem! I don't use Firefox for mylot! I have never tried! I don't think I know how to switch it over. I will have to ask my computer guy how to do it! I use my AOL and Yahoo mail and it is so slow and doesn't ever work properly. I just never use Firefox and I do have it! I guess I should try it out too! I will send him an email and see what he says. I'm also not very good at these things either. I don't know the difference in the browsers either! I get used to doing one thing in one way and no matter what I just stay with it even if it doesn't work properly. My mylot pms still only send once in awhile and it is certainly frustrating when someone sends me one and I can't answer it back! Thanks for the advice! I will definitely check it out! Hi Ellie..am glad that you can now pm people..I have never used Firefox yet heard it is really good, maybe I should have a look at it. I haven't had any glitches with Pm's but mostly with Myot when it is on 'go slow' and is hard to even answer a discussion let alone post the answer...Merry Christmas to you and Jacob!! hi ellie Im in gold crest an assisted living place and can understand your joy.just got bac k onto the internet, and now I feel less lonely plus my son has started coming to see me more often which really helps. hope one day he will get a job a nd we can once more live in an apartment together again. my son has rid my computer of some snafus that made it unuseable. take care. love hatley.

Glad you are able to send Pm's again ellie, have you found out why you weren't able to send them in the first place!?? I dont send many Pm's so not sure if I can send them ,I think I can but I try not to get too technical as I get confused when it comes to things like firefox and such!!!

This is what I do also, if ever I have problems with one browser, I first delete all those cookies and cache first and see what will happen. If it doesn't work, I'll see a different one and see how it goes. In fact, I have several browsers downloaded in my laptop and that I have easy access every time one gets some glitch. I have, Chrome, Avant, Firefox, IE and AW2. At this moment I am fairly using Firefox most of the time since there are a lot of online movies that are telling to use firefox since it had good streaming and compatibility. Glad that you're back and things were solve in your part.
