YIPPEE - I Can Send MyLot Private Messages Again! Browser Problem.

Hi Scorpio, It was Mands I think that mentioned it as I was having problems commenting to you guys also especially to her as it kept saying the abode was slowing computer up. I am relieved it is all now sorted and once feeling 100% again will probably be back to test it all out. Lucky you having a partner who is a whizz at computers, I am such a novice LOL. It was IE I was having probs with and AOL too. Think what I really need though is a newer faster computer which I may invest in in the New Year. Huggles. Ellie:D

Hi, I had a feeling it was our Mand she's a very clever girl, is that one! I also thought it was internet explore you were using, my partner swears by ie thinks it's brill but I just don't it's still on my pc and I just can't use it now at all, I'm so use to firefox, lets hope you have a new one eh? honestly Ellie you'll be that fast you won't know what to do with yourself..lol

Hi AmbiePam, I have two whose notifications I have turned on and I don't receive an email to say when they have started a discussion that I am aware of, there could indeed be more but these are the ones I have noticed when seeing a discussion of theirs that is recent and knowing I haven't received. I hope myLot sorts this one for you. Mine was my broswer and not myLot although I must admit I did think it could have been a glitch on their part at one time. Huggles. Ellie:D

Hi Leenie, A novice trying to explain to a novice LOL. I don't really know how to explain but it would be a great discussion question for you to ask as I am sure there are many computer whizzes on here. All I done was to download Firefox after doing a search for it and it replaced my usual browser and now when I start up I click onto Firefox instead of Interent Explorer or AOL. I have a security one but personally haven't heard of the one you mention. It has made a difference to numerous sites I visit so it may help by not sending 45 of the same email to your twin. To clean at the end of the day I press disc clean up but once a month I have a scna disc programme that searches out anything but someone else installed that and the computer has an automatic defragmenter ect that runs overnight on scheduled dates. Sorry I wasn't ay help. Huggles. Ellie:D

Hi Tamara, Yes a little better thanks, still haven' been out but up and dressed today and pottering, still very weak but 200% better than I have been. I am so pleased my private messages are workiong again too as I have to do what I did to you the other day and answer via a discussion. Littleowl phoned last night and we had a good chat. Hi Liquorice, I know of two people whose notifications are turned on and I don't receive their discussions and a few friends also have the same problem but as we all have different email providers I guess it must be a myLot thinng rather than browser. Strange that the flights don't seem to appear with firefox it is IE I tend to have more problems with. Thanks for sharing. Ellie:D

We were panicking a little when we couldn't see our flight times, as we hadn't written them down. Suppose there's always the phone, but so much more convenient to do things online.

Hi Sirrob, Wow you do have a lot of browers to choose from, I have Aol, Firefox or IE but prefer Firefox so far as it does seem to have stopped a lot of problems I was getting with certain sites. Thanks for sharing your choices. Huggles. Ellie:D

I was having an experiment about this browsers before of who among them loads fast and who has good security settings and after that I just let them stay there as long as it doesn't harm my system then they can fairly stay around. Chrome is still on it's beta stage and seems to have good future. Firefox has the best internet security and I was playing with it recently when I got a SCAM email for suppose to be a notice from Liberty Reserve and so I did tried it's best. It works perfectly fine and I even made a discussion about it yesterday. Silly me, huh.!
