Unfortunately my son was born by an unexpected caesarean operation. I was rushed out of the delivery room and the surgeon performed an emergency caesarean operation. I have assisted dogs to be born and it is a miracle to see a human being or an animal to be born. My wife and I have decided to remain with only one child. However I would still like to watch a child birth. It's one of those experiences that I wished that I had experienced in my life.© ronaldinu 2008

Hi friends,
Ronaldinu, I was just wondering why you and your wife has chosen to have only one child?
I have had three children and unfortunately, I didn't get to see anything either. They were all c-sections. But I did see my niece give birth. I was right there.
It is an amazing thing to see. However, I have never thought that a husband should see this. I don't think a husband can handle seeing something that large coming from his wife. That's just how I feel.
Well good luck.
Cheryl

I am a mother of two girls that are two and three there birthdays are feb tenth and april first. I hadmy first one natural and second with some help. I will never do it again bcs it made me feel out of control not being able to feel what was going on. But my husband had said it wasn't too pretty but he loved it and wants to do it again a couple more times. The joke he did make though was that they should make tires out of that! If they start to get worn out just park em for a week or two and they will be good as new. lol. But I myself got to see my sister born a year and half ago, my mom is 37 and I tell you, I never thought it would look the way it does especially with the doc using there fingers to help make room for the head! I never thought it would look the way it did but strangly enough it was awesome, beautiful and I can't wait to have more!

I haven't had any children but I was able to experience childbirth because of my niece wanting me in the birthing room with her I even helped her as she gave birth it is an amazing experience and I will never forget it and the awe of it all. That was 3 years ago and it still hasn't left me.

I remember when I was delivering my son my husband kept asking me if I wanted the mirror brought in they provide - so I could watch my son coming out. I kept saying NO, I don't want to SEE it, I'm feeling it enough thank you! LOL You see I gave birth to a baby over 9 lbs and it was natural child birth - no epidural. Yikes. Might be why I stayed with just having one. The nurses also set up my mom on phone in the waiting room so she could listen to the birth. What a stupid thing to do. Then I was worried that I couldn't scream or yell because it would scare my mom too much. I'd say if you want to see it your best thing would be to rent a video on it. Its embaressing enough for us women having our feet up in those stirups and everything shown to anyone who passes by. In my delivery room they had the door open and about anyone walking by could see in and see me since my feet faced the door. I still remember a nurse telling me "don't worry about modesty honey, cause after this is done you won't care." LOL

I want to see it too, but I am afraid of it freaking me out. My mom and my fiance watched mine. It was embarrassing to have them in there the first half but by the time I got the epidural and was drowsy I plain out did not care.

I have to say it is one of the most amazing things to see. I had 6 preganancies and 7 kids and yet I never watched my own, was to busy being in pain and pushing. With the twins I had an emergency C-section as they couldnt get them to budge as they were to big and standing upwards.
I however have gotten to watch my grandchildren being born, out of 10 grandbabies I got to watch 5 come into the world and it is amazing. If you dont like watching someone in pain or blood thou I wouldnt advise it!

wow that is interesting my husband is freeking out as we speak. I am 20 weeks pregnant (well almost 21) and I never wanted to be present for child birth few friens have asked me and i said no as I will never have kids of my own if I do. This is my second child and husband was not allowed in (this was in Europe) but he is going to be there for this one like it or not.

I'm not a father yet, but i guess it should be nice to stay by your wife's side to see her giving birth, experiencing the whole process with her.. It's actually a very great thing to do, as well as physical support for your wife..
However if one is scare of blood, they should not go it, as it's gonna be very bloody.. hehe ^_^ As for some chinese, those older generation ple are very superstitous, and they dun agree with seeing one's wife give birth as it will bring them bad luck.. hehe

There are several shows her on discovery type of channels where one can watch it, although some parts are blurred not to show the woman's private parts. I'm sure, if you look hard enough you can find a video online somewhere. Personally, I wouldn't want to see it. I gave birth three times. With my third they said, look there is the head and made me look. I was like, get it out already. I didn't want to watch any of it, not even in a mirror. I just wanted the birth process to be over with and hold my baby... My husband said, it was fascinating each single time. I could care less if I'd ever get to see the whole thing;)

It is incredible! Of course, I was there for my two kids but being an observer is great. I assisted my granddaughter's birth and it was purely magical. When she came out it was just so emotional. I am so honored to have been there from her first breath in this world. She is still magical. I am sitting here right now watching her blessed face.

My husband was at our first child birth and I can tell you that he was really brave, but said that he'll pass for the next ones.
It is something that stays with you your whole life, you can not forget.
But not always is a pleasant experience.
Pleasant is only what comes out, not the way itself.

hi!
my curiousity strikes again! many times i have wondered how it was to give birth. i am still single and hoping that be married and have kids next year. most of my friends are married and have a kid. they told me that giving birth is not an easy job! it takes all the courage and strength. but they said that it is fulfilling once you saw your baby.
i have watched several videos on you tube about giving birth. its awesome and its really a miracle!

well my brother in- law say it was nasty looking he fainted when he saw the baby coming out he hit the floor i guest you have to have a strong stomach to watch such a thing even though it,s natural for this to happen.can you imagine my mom having 11 children natural child birth, oh my goodness i said that i was not going to have that many children, and i was happy with my 3 i only saw one birth in the world.one was a c-section and the other i adopted.so i was happy with that.

I used to assist in the child delivery when I was a student but never did I expect that I will be the one who's going to do the actual delivery and assist the mother in the delivery of her second child. And to make it very interesting, I did it while inside the ambulance because there's no way we can reach the hospital on time so I decided to pull over.

I haven't watched a live child birth. But when i was in my highschool, we have a film showing in our Science subject, the film was entitled "Quest for Fire". The story begun on the primitive ages...then in the modern times. I can't recall the whole story but the last part of the film was like, showing how to refrain from abortion. The woman gets pregnant, thought of having an abortion but did not. She decided that the baby will live until she gave birth. The film actually showed the woman giving birth, i saw the baby coming out of her mom's. I was really shocked, i never thought that it's the way how the baby goes out of the mom's tummy. I had a fear of giving birth when i saw that. LOL! But now i'm alright. I have a beautiful daughter already.

Good luck with that. I'm sure they have videos. To me that is just such a private moment. I remember being so angry that everyone wouldn't leave the room so I could have my baby in peace without them all staring at me. haha I couldn't even watch someone else do it.
