Do cats have ESP?

I recently remembered this story of a cat we had when I was a child. My family owned a small, local delivery service, and we had an office. Becuase my mom wasn't allowed cats in her apartment (a rule she later broke) we had an office cat. I forget how we came by her, but we couldn't refuse her, and the only home we could offer her was the office. Her name was Charlie. Well Charlie had a litter of kittens. They were born on my 9th birthday, and I witnessed the birth of all 7 kittens, 2 of which we later ended up owning. Well the kittens were kept in a box near the very large front window of the office. They were still very small, probably not even a week old. One day Charlie began carrying the kittens one by one to a back room. My mom saw this and grabbed the kittens and returned them to their box. After doing so Charlie again started to take the kittens to the back room one by one. So now mom decided she'd let Charlie have her way, and she brought the entire box with the remaining kittens to the spot Charlie had chosen for them. Did I mention the office was in a rather nasty side of town? Well the next morning when we showed up at the office (which is where I spent my time when there was no school) the front window had been broken. Glass was everywhere, and there was a brick sitting in the exact spot where the kitten's box had been. Luckily Charlie and all the kittens were perfectly safe in the back room, and nothing was missing or out of place. Of course there really wasn't anything to steal from a delivery company. We'll never know what was going through Charlie's mind, but we do know at the very least that she knew her babies weren't safe in that spot.

Wow, that is really amazing. I have been told that cats can sense things like when someone is pregnant and things like that. Maybe they do have some sort of ESP.

Wow, that is a really cool story. I've never heard anything about cats having esp. Maybe they do. We had cats a lot growing up. I never noticed anything like that from them though. Of course their life was pretty uneventful where we lived. Maybe it was a mother thing where she just felt her babies were in danger where they were. I remember when my grandmother fell in her home and broke her arm and her hip. I was at home in bed, probably about 16 or 17 years old. Suddenly I woke up and my body hurt and I ran to the bathroom and threw up. The next day I found out that is the same time that my grandmother fell.

That is neat story. I'm so glad the kittens were safe. It is really neat that she was able to save her babies. I think the fact that the mother had ESP was something that she had going for her. This is a really nice story. Thanks for telling it to us.
