Do you talk about your twins as if they're one child?

I noticed the other day that I always refer to my twins as "the twins" as if they're one child. "The twins are in first grade. The twins ride the bus. The twins get home at 3:30" Granted it's not difficult to lump them together as "the twins" since they do almost everything together. They share a bedroom, they even still bathe together. They do each have things that are their own, like my son was in soccer in the fall and his sister wasn't. My daughter is in dance and baton... obviously her brother is not. They are in basketball together though. But I notice I rarely refer to them individually. I rarely say "Tyler is doing great in school, and Tristan is doing well also." Instead I'll just say "The twins love school, they're getting all A's." Do you do this too?

I think this is very natural. I raised 4 boys (all single births), but as you know, twins are conceived from a single egg, and share the same Higher Self. So in some ways they Are One. The fact that they share the same Higher Self (or Soul) explains why they are so psychically attached. For example some twins will both feel the pain if one gets hurt etc. And they will often have the same thoughts at the same time. I think you are doing ok with your Twins!

I don't have twins, but I find myself sometimes referring to my kids as just that "my kids" instead of using their names. I think it is pretty common for people who have multiples to do that.
