HELP, I need an anti-virus for my laptop!  |

 I have no anti-virus in my computer. I got some files downloaded to my laptop and then copied the same files to my USB and put the USB to a computer in the internet cafe. When I used the USB in my laptop again, some files were deleted. When I checked my USB for viruses, it shocked me for all files were "infected" with viruses. I'm afraid my laptop also has a virus.
Anyone can help me where to get a free anti-virus? What is the most effective anti-virus? Thanks.

You can set your PC to a previous state and your systems should be fine if not reformat your PC. I see that you already have some decent advise on viruse pertection. Good Luck.
