Can you concentrate writing while listening to music?

I cannot do that.It is very difficult to multitask for me.I cannot do more than one job at a time.If i enjoy music,i dont prefer to do any work at that time.

Oh yeah! definitely. I can concentrate much more when i listen to music. It calms me down and when i listen to music and simultaneously write, the distraction helps me to concentrate more on my writing and thereby increase my concentration ability.

I find listening to music really distracting but still do it as it sort of kills off my brain cells one by one. I really like the music of Oasis, search up The Importance of Being Idle by Oasis and it's a really soothing calm jazzy smooooth song!

No! I can not concentrate to write when music is on or even the television. Sometimes people talking in my home puts me off also.

I like peace and quiet to write. I really can work better with nothing or no one annoying me.

I love to listen to music while writing or working. It is relaxing and gives a little bit of noise to the room. I hate dead silence. That is annoying to me and makes the time just really go slowly. Listening to music is creative to me and relaxing.

I turn my radio on for a little bit, and listen to it but when I am trying to write, I turn it off because, the radio starts to take away my concentration, then when it is quite in my room, I can write because there is no back ground noise, then there are time I just leave the radio on, and just write with the back ground noise on.

I always have the tv on in here in the puter room and I miss half of the movie while responding lol I just seem to shut it out.
Also have monitor on so I can heard what grand daughter is doing in the front room when she is up.

when i was in my first high school year,i was given a walkman as a birthday gift by my mom.then i was totally attracted by this dingus.i can't take off the ear phone whenever i was studying .thus the walkman got along with me until i finished my college life!i want to say that it gave me a lot of fun .because that walkman was like a silent friend who was just watching you doing everything so that you never feel lonely.it is a cheap one,but even a new ipod can not give me the same feeling .at that moment,music help me a lot! by the way,i can concentrate writing indeed.

I get distracted while listening to music only when I really like the song and want to sing it or dance on it. I can write while listening to the radio with no problems. Actually I can concentrate on the writing better with music than with no sound at all. I think it all depends what kind of music it is.
