Did you have your own room as a child, or did you have to share?  

I shared a room with one of my brothers for a bit when I was younger, miraclefreebies, but in my later years at home, we each had our own room.

It wasn't bad sharing a room. I enjoyed my brother. We'd talk into the night, play word games in the dark, tell stories, etc. Lots of good memories.

I am an only child, so I never had to share a room with another sibling. I think that this changed my perspective on the situation. I like my space, and I do not think that I would like to share a room with someone else. I think I would be fine with having a room mate in an appartment or something, I just would not want to live in one room with them.

I'm the fourth of 6 kids and so we always had someone to share with..I hated it, when my older 3 sisters got married and left then i finally had a room to myself for 3 yrs..then got married and then right back to sharing again..lol..

I had to share with my sister and my brother. That was OK since I was around 10 years. Basically, I had to share room with people half of my life-childhood,teenage,college... I didn't mind:)

I currently have my own room, and my sister has the room next door. I love my room, though it's a bit cold. It's painted purple, which is one of my favorite colors. I have a green bedspread and pillow and purple curtains. I also have a walk-in closet, where I hang up all of my clothes. I have a desk, with all of my homework and my laptop. I like my room, because it feels like me. =)

I always had my own bedroom. I wish I could say the same for my kids, but my boys have had to share a room all of their lives, and my daughter has had her own. I only have brothers, so sharing a room would have been quite a bit awkward, as well as difficult for us. I wouldn't change it a bit.

I was the only girl and had my room to myself, while my two brothers shared a room across the hall. I looooooved having my own room. It is hard for me to share a room even today with someone else other than my husband. If I go on a weekend seminar, I have to share with someone and it's just weird to me! I was a commuter in college and never shared a dorm room and I only lived on my own a short time before I was married so I never had a room mate either. I guess you could say that I like my "space".

lord i got passed around, shared a room with my middle brother but he kept beating me up, so i shared a room with my sister, that got weird and then my older brother and back all over and over again.
until my older brother moved out then i finally got my own room,

I once shared a room with my sister. We had a bright red bunk bed in our room with matching mermaid blankets. I insisted on having the top bunk. For some reason, my sister didn't fight for it. Later, I found out why...

We always had the ceiling fan on because it was always so hot in our room. It would squeak and wobble all night long. I would hear it loud and clear because it was right above my head. I had nightmares of it falling on me and chopping me up into meaty confetti. Standing up on the top bunk with the ceiling fan on was committing suicide. One day, my sister and I were having a brutal pillow fight. I climbed up to the top bunk to get away from the bean filled pillows and beanie babies my sister would throw at me. My sister followed me. She forgot about the killer ceiling fan and stood up on the top bunk. I shouted at her to watch out for the fan. She turned around to look at the fan and one of its blades smacked her right in the forehead. She had a scar and bruise on her forehead that lasted for weeks. I don't think she ever stood up on the top bunk after that. There would be times when I would go to sleep on the top bunk and wake up on the floor with a sore back. The bunk bed railing clearly couldn't be trusted so I always slept on the side where the bunk bed was against the wall. My sister and I would stay up all night chatting about the silly things that happened to us in school that day. Sometimes my sister would keep me up all night by asking me questions or singing songs-just to annoy me. She told me I was the, quote "funnest person to annoy". I could entertain her without even knowing it. We would stay up some nights to watch the show Martin with Martin Lawrence in it. We stayed up to watch that show-mainly for the thrill of singing its theme song. I do miss sharing a room with my sister sometimes. I felt like I knew her more when we shared a room together. Now, we hardly have any time to annoy each other and talk about college life and such... If we were to ever share a room again, I think we would both make sure that a bunk bed would not be involved.

I shared a room with my sister until she left when she got married. That is all I knew and I had no problems with it. My sister is older and we have always had a close relationship. When she got married, I really missed her. We shared everything, I especially loved her clothes. Yeah, it was great experience sharing a room with my sister. When she got mad at me she would only make up her side of the bed, usually she would make up the whole bed. She was my sister first, and my best friend second.
