Have you had an impact on someone else's life?  

We may never know the impact we had on someone else's life. One little incident that comes to mind for me is one that happened at my 5 year high school reunion. When I was in elementary school, I was very best friends with a girl named Lorelle. We didn't hang out as much in Jr. High and by High school, she was with a different crowd although we were still very friendly, just had different friends. She later married the homecoming king, Curt. Well, at the reunion I was chatting with her and her husband came over just to say that he had heard how very sweet and special I was and wanted to kiss my hand. He was serious! Apparently Lorelle had told him about our great friendship in elementary school and he also remembered me from a Government class where I had helped him with some class work. So.....the king bestowed a kiss upon my hand....awww. Ain't that sweet?

I've been in similar situation where people dated because of me and met thru me but nobody got married yet. You did make these people meet but you cannot have any impact on their feelings,right? It's completely up to them whether they like each other and what they want to do. That's what I said when a couple of friends praised me for connecting them,lucky coincidence and not something I plotted

Yea actually and for whatever reason its what I'm well known for if that makes sense...According to numerous ppl in my current life and from back in the day going back to childhood actually, I've had a huge impact on several of them and many of their kids too.....

I believe I did had an impact on the lives of several people whom I know. My best friend was once very uncertain of herself and lack self-confidence, my attitude towards life had changed her a lot and she's on her way to her dream life and living a very enjoyable life. Besides my best friend, a student of mine once told me that what I told them, taught her (which the text book doesn't teach) had made a huge difference in her.

I believe that we all have impact on someone, whether we know it or not. Sometimes the impact changes their lives for the better, sometimes for the worse. It's exactly the same way how we received impact from other people. Although we may be individuals, but we all live a part of our lives in the lives of others and vice versa. ^^

I guess I have some eperience in life where I consider myself to have some impact on some people I was w/ before. One of those I can recall was when I was w/ a long lost friend (not really a close friend)in the church. We were in the same university in college but not in the same department. She invited me for a lunch after the sermon and while we were eating I was quite shock w/ what she confessed to me. She told me that she was very jealous of me before because she learned that her bf was courting me. When I asked who was it? she told me the name and I was laughing because I remember the guy (that happened 3 yrs ago before our conversation) and I was ignoring him. I cannot imagine her being jealous for many yrs when am not in anyway involved w/ her bf.
Another recent one, was that w/ a friend who married a guy I was chatting w/ few years ago. We both came from the same province and I just can't believe we are both here in the USA now. Of course I can say I have some impacts w/ some of those guys who were courting me before; either positive or negative.

I ran for Lieutenant Governor in 2006 on the MA Green Party ticket. People have told me that I influenced their lives by running for office. I was the most severely disabled person (I'm still not sure what that means exactly) to ever run for office in MA history.

what we do maybe affact others,what we say maybe affect others'life,what we chat maybe affect others' life and what we behave affect others'life.

I guess i'll never know what influences i have given to others, but since i am a teacher, it's easily for me to set the example and give, i hope, the positive impact to my students.

In our daily life, there are many people around us, everyday we meet different people, saying different things, you never know which sentences you've said had impact someone's life, sometimes even some reflections, you can impact someone's life.

That must feel really special. I hope they toasted you at the anniversary dinner :-)

I imagine I must have impacted all sorts of people´s lives over the years, by introducing them either to other people or to circumstances. My guess is that I made quite a difference to many people in the past through my work in recruitment.
