http://www.eonline.com/uberblog/b74876_disney_dumps_narnia.html?sid=rss_movienews&utm_source=eonline&utm_medium=rssfeeds&utm_campaign=rss_movienews i guess unless some other place picks it up there wont be a narnia 3 movie.. do you think that it will be picked up by some other company or will it just die off? will it be as good or better if it is? you never know these days with how some companies ruin some things..

I don't think another company will pick it up. Even if they do, it won't be quite the same. Remember how after the first two Harry Potter movies, Chris Columbus didn't come back for the 3rd, etc? The movies that followed were still Harry Potter, but they just seemed to have a different feel to them. The same would happen with the Chronicles of Narnia, especially if it is a different company and not just a different director.

That's one of the most stupid decision they could make. The Narnia movies could have taken the place left empty by Harry Potter.

If they would be seeing dollar signs they would be continuing the series. Unfortunately when incompetence is on the top, business is low.

oh no that's awful! I love the Narnia movies! I don't know if another studio will pick it up. My guess is no- if its too expensive for disney it is probably too expensive for other studios too. Oh, no dawn treader- how depressing! This is the first deperssing news of the new year....I really feel bad. I do hope some other studio picks it up though. I loved the first two.

Gee, they are not going to do a 3rd one? That is Sad. Just when all of us that remember reading these books were Glad they are finally bringing them to the Movies, Disney decides to not do any more of them. I would Love to see another company pick this up. I just hope if someone decides too, they can keep on doing these movies justice. In a way if one company does pick these up, will they be able to keep to the quality like Disney or will they end up disappointing us, or is it just better to let these die again anyways?

well i hope somebody continues it, new line cinema could do it, whoever produced other fantasy movies could do it, as long as they can stick to the story line i can live with it, there 5 more books they choose from, hay hope the narnia movies continues

I have yet to watch the second installment in the Narnia series. So I do not really know if there is a cliff hanger at the end of the second show or not. If there isn't, then it doesn't really matter there is no third movie. Does it? I like the first movie. And I find the graphics rendered very good. I am still waiting for the chance to rent the DVD to watch it. Cos of a busy schedule, I missed the movie on the big screen. I sure hope the next company who takes over the series will make a good third installment.

i have no idea if there is a cliff hanger or not but if there isnt then i dont think it will be as big of a deal since if you dont know about the books you wouldnt know or be that upset i guess

I haven't seen the second one yet - although I plan to. I do think there is enough of a market that somebody will pick it up, the books are so good, it would be a shame for it to not be picked up as a movie. I don't really concern myself too much with who is behind a movie, I like them on their own basis, not necessarily who makes/produces it.

yeah i judge the movie on how it turns out also and not the maker but some companies seem to butcher anything sometimes

I know, I heard about this. I don't understand how the first two movies didn't do so well. I enjoyed both movies. I guess the production costs were high. But still, they saved a lot on the fess because the actors were pretty much unknown kids! Anyway, I think there is a Narnia fan base already so if Disney sells the rights maybe another film company will produce the movie. I hope it doesn't turn into a cartoon animation!

I strongly beleive that disney should not do third naraina movie. If you go on making sequels and sequels it does not help anyways. THese should be some punch in the movie to make it worth watching. PLease do not do this to us disney!!

I really doubt the third movie will be stopped. They will find a way to make it happen I'm sure.

I love Narnia movies and watched them repeatedly. I hope that few more in the series should come out and for that if some other studio pitches in, it would be great.
