Do you still bother to take a lot of photos over Christmas & New Years?

I took a lot of pictures over Christmas of my grandchildren, plus took pictures of the all the presents under the tree before they were opened. I do this every Christmas, because every one is set-up a little different each new year. Oh I don't know why? Guess I'm funny that way. Memory keepsakes perhaps? How about you? Do you take several holiday photos too? cd

I took many pictures over the Thanksgiving holiday. All our grandkids were in town at the same time. Christmas they were not as they were visiting with the other grandparents who live in other states. We have a new grandbaby so I took lots of her and put them on a cd just in case this computer blows up. Like a backup system. I don't print out that many since my printer is not working but every once in awhile I will send the photos to Walgreen's and pick them up later in the day.

I am not a photo person, I have never been. I do enjoy a few photos but other then that I am not one to take many photos. I understand your reasoning for taking pictures of the tree.

I try for a bit of originality every year, but it's hard not to take the same photo over and over... but then I look back over past Christmases ans see how people have changed, and it is suddenly worthwhile.

Our family is mostly in that Christmas grey area where there aren't any little ones, aside from my one baby nephew. It seems like there really isn't much to take pictures of when it's just a room full of adults! At my in laws the camera didn't even make an appearance. At my family's celebration the only one who got much camera time was the baby - he was the star of the show!

That's so sad that you didn't get any of your family mom or dad I thinks it's great you got the photos of your nephew ... cd

I think when you have children or grandchildren it is a wonderful and special thing to do, we all need lovely memories to look back on and I always think it nice for the children themselves to look back on when they are older. You are not funny I think it's a lovely thing to do, I think Christmas is a wonderful time for the children and to capture those moments to treasure is a great way of capturing the moment, because we know that life goes so quickly. We are all adults now in my family so we don't bother with photos any more but we still have the photos from years ago which we look on back with great fondness.
