Do you have lunch

When I worked, outside the home, we always got a lunch break. They have labor laws here, if you're paid by the hour.

At my job we kinda eat on the go. I answer phones and its hard to go and eat an entire meal with out phone ringing. So we eat between calls and watch tv as well. Did I say I love my job? Well I do.

12.30is time for Loose Women and lunch. All of the females in my family have suffered from adult onset diabetes and I know neither of my sisters ate breakfast or lunch so in the hope of putting off what seems inevitable I have breakfast lunch and dinner.

When I'm working, I always take at least a few minutes for lunch. I refuse to wolf down my food like an animal so that I can get back to work. The same thing at home, though I'm not as good about it. Now that I'm not working, I'm falling back into the old habit of eating my lunch at my desk. I eat leisurely, but I should still leave the room and seat myself at the dining table. Thanks for reminding me!

I work at home, but I do try to take a lunch break. I may not eat anything but a banana or a small salad, but I do put something in my stomach about midday.

I tend to stop for dinner. My days are weird, though, because I'm disabled at the moment with back pain and looking after a psychotic cat, so I'm often up all night. Anyway, I stop for about 90-120 minutes: long enough to make dinner, eat it and watch a film at the same time. The other 22 hours of the day are spent looking after my partner (or the cat) and failing dismally at earning money online...;)

I always take a lunch break even if it's only 15 minutes. I need the time to get away and recharge. I HATE lunchtime meetings for that reason. bleah...

Hi p1key...as you know I don't work apart from the general duties of a house manager!! even so food to me is and never has been something that I have really thought about much of during the day, so tend to have a little something at night...as for my son who is a care nurse he works 8-12hr shifts he gets a break but not really long enough to have a stable dinner so normally has one when he comes home, that's if he feels like it....hugs LoLo

I haven't worked in the public for about 15 years, so I am not sure of the lawss regarding this now.. Used to be that if you worked so many hours, you had to take a lunch break, one hour or half an hour, according to how many hours you were on the clock.. If it was part time, then you had to take a break after about 4 hours, but eveyone doesn't go by these rules because my son works almost 6 hours each day without a break.. I worked from 9-5 each day and had a one hour lunch break, and boy, did I ever enjoy this time of the day, I always had a book and a small park to sit and have lunch in while enjoying the weather and the book along with my lunch.. It was nice..

Since i can't leave at my store i usually try to bring something or order in and will eat when i can..and wouldn't you know someone always shows up right when i'm stuffing my face..
