Does anyone listen to the radio anymore? |
|
I listen to the radio, anytime i am in my room or at the pc.. which is in my room. When the kids are napping/sleeping, I have the radio on fairly loud to block out the other noises of the house so they sleep longer. . I am addicted to the radio now. .*dances and wiggles her butt*
If you do listen to the radio, whats your favourite station? Do you ever call in for requests? Do you have a favourtie DJ?
Can I come over and listen to your radio?

1. creativedreamweaver (4619) | 1 year ago | Come on over! Yes, I still listen to the radio. I have two old rock stations I listen to. I don't recall their call letters, but I do remember the numbers; one is 102.5 and the other is 107.2. I love them both. As for favorite DJ, I love listening to "Alice at Night" with Alice Cooper. I love listening to the radio, because of the variety of music they play.

2. pergammano (1995) | 1 year ago | I would invite you to listen to my radio....but, I don't think you would like my choice of listening! I listen mainly to Country, oldies & favourite talk shows! I am a Tiler by trade, so many of my job sites, I am solo! The radio becomes my best friend, so many days, I am plugged into the radio for 8 to 10 hours, and do not know what I would do without it as company! My mood dictates what I listen to at any given time! Sometimes I surprise myself and get into some pretty heavy classical! And I have a choice of radios...as job sites dictate that! Battery & electrical! I can live without the TV...but not my radio! Cheers!

Sissygrl (5760) | 1 year ago | lol i'm glad you make the best of your soloness! You are right though.. there are very few country songs i enjoy, but i don't mind classical at all. very relaxing.

pergammano (1995) | 1 year ago | Truly, I believe, your choices of music, are the windows of your youth! I grew up in a very rural, cattle country lifestyle...so it was a "country lifestyle" where we all gathered on a Saturday nite...some-one played the violin, another the "squeezebox" accordion, guitar..and drums! But after leaving home and moving to the "big city," my first boyfriend was a very accomplished trombonist who ended up playing with Stan Getz...so I still do have a soft spot for jazz! Just like flowers in a garden...hard to choose your favourite!

Sissygrl (5760) | 1 year ago | lol what about those kids in the suberbs that listen to gangsta rap? how ever should we explain that?

|
pergammano (1995) | 1 year ago | It is their generational music! A little bit of peer pressure, as was rock 'n roll in my generation! And also it is the "music" that's in vogue, today!

3. shinymood (316) | 1 year ago | I don't usually listen to radio now except when I'm driving. Traffic information station is always helpful. And a little music would be perfect.
I used to tune in for English programs when I was a college student learning English. Now I ocassionally listen to radio when I feel like it. It's still beautiful when I don't want to be bombarded by flashy pictures of TV or others lol.

5. UK_Shree (1844) | 1 year ago | Hi there, well I used to listen to the radio regularly before, when I was getting ready in the mornings. I just found that it helped give me an upbeat start to the day. These days I most often listen to radio when I am driving on my own - I like to listen to music shows of talk shows as it makes me feel as though I am not alone, especially on long journeys

8. sedel1027 (12403) | 1 year ago | I like listening to the radio but get so annoyed by stations who claim to have "new" music then play old stuff or say "this is a new release by XXX" and I have had the CD or have heard the songs a billion times other places.

| |
|
|
Sissygrl (5760) | 12 months ago | lol they do do that often.. must be a marketing scheme.. Although this station sometimes plays local arists and they DO actually play new music not yet released.. I placed the link in a few responses above you if you care to listen.

9. Matthammer (288) | 1 year ago | I still listen to the radio quite a lot. My mood changes between needing a change and a broader range where i might hear something new and other times i just need to listen to my own music, maybe a specific artist.
I mainly listen to BBC Radio 2, but also absolute and sometimes net stations.
