Can two people have the same IP address?

There could be Three posibilities here.

1) This is your office computer. ( using a office computer for ptc sites is a bad idea)

2) someone else from your house is a member of same sites.( May be guest used your computer to log into these sites.)

3)You have a wi-fi connection & have not got it secured/locked.

This is one more advantage with myLot, you can even use a public computer for this forum, they are not finicky about it as there is no restriction on the no:of posts here.

Yes,my friend I am also facing the same problem.Whenever I wish to download through Rapidshare,free account.It is been written that your ip is being used so wait for a while to complete that download.I am not using any LAN connection.I amusing wireless connection but still I am facing this major problem.

Always keep the internet connection setting to dynamic ip address checked so that every time you switch-on the machine or log-on the internet, you will get different-ip address but to fix your problem, just clear the cookies and temperory files residing in the computer and then visit the site otherwise this problem not happening technically.

I am not really very knowledgeable about this IP thing. But I know that every pc has different ip address. Perhaps you were able to register another email account long time ago and you did register another account again. I really don't know thats one posible answer to your question.

It is possible if you have an unsecured wireless access network in your home and someone in your neighbor is leeching onto your wireless network. You may want to check with your service provider about the safety precaution and measures that you can adopt.

As for the WorkFromHomeHQ, I think they have some internal problems with their server ever since they tried to add some features to their website. Just be patient and wait for them to resolve this issue.

its nt at all possible to have same IP's fr 2 diff computers, chances are that someone else other than you would have used your computer when you were not presence & would have visited their account in those sites or the possibility can be that those sites are making reasons not to pay u

Two people can have the same IP address if you are using a proxy server such as AOL or Earthlink. It has to do with your internet service provider. Here is a link that you can use to see if you are using a proxy server:

If you are not using a proxy server then I would email the sites customer service or support and ask them what the issue is and how to resolve it.

Send a message to the site webmaster. If you established the address first it should be yours. It could be that someone is using your address.

Because of increased network security, some internet service providers will not allow just anyone access to your actual IP but rather only to your general IP which is the root IP for your area substation. Because of this, many people can have the same IP addy.

Unless you have a static IP address assigned to your computer, your IP address, along with all the others users who use the same ISP, will change whenever you turn off and then turn on your computer. The ISP has a set number of IP addresses that they assign on a "first come - first serve" basis as different computers sign on to the ISP. It is very possible, and very probable, that someone else has also used the same IP address that you used when you first signed on to the website that you mentioned.
