Bush Sr. did not look so good during the inauguration

Anyone know what happened or is wrong with President Bush Sr? He did not look too good during the ceremony. In fact Carter was moving around better than he was. Anyone know what happened?

He appeared to be walking with a cane - maybe just to stabilize him during all the ceremony, but haven't heard anything regarding his health.

Maybe we will hear something. He did not look too good at all. His movements were very stiff.

I'm sure that all of this is very tiring and stressful, especially for the older folks that are there - and now it has shown up with the two senators at the luncheon.

The news said he had back surgery last year and still stiff from it. It was last summer so I hope this is not a permnant thing for him. He really did not look good and in pain.

Actually he has used a cane for several years now. He had back surgery and has used a cane since that time. There was some discussion about this on CNN yesterday, but it has been discussed before. He apparently isn't in pain just has a hard time getting around these days.

Oh I don't know. I think he is doing pretty well for his age. Intellectually he is still sound. He has a back problem, many do at his age. I think he had a previous injury and the surgery corrected the problem but just couldn't correct the years of incremental built up problems.
I think as long as he isn't in pain, well this is ok. Getting older, for all of us simply is something that happens. Aches, pains, and indignities are things we look forward to. He is mentally chipper, I think overall he is doing pretty well.

I haven't heard about anything happening to him. He's probably had a rough couple of days...and evenings...with all of the traveling and festivities and it was bitterly cold in D.C. today so maybe he was just worn out. I hope that's all it is.

He was moving very stiffly and looked really bad. I mean more than just tired. I hope everything is ok.
