1. MonkOVision (936) | 11 months ago | I usually take a lick of icing before I take my first bite of cake, but after that first lick I like to eat cake and frosting together, whilst saving a goodly bit of frosting for my last bite.

2. explorations (1520) | 11 months ago | I absolutely LOVE cake and, whenever possible, I make one to have here.:-) I eat it all at once! My step-daughter likes to eat all the icing off first and then eat the cake. My oldest son likes to eat all the cake first, and save the icing for last. It's pretty cute to see them doing this.

catdla1 (2647) | 11 months ago | Since there are two beaters on my mixer, I always share if anyone in the family offers to help. Funny how there are more offers at icing time than there are for cake mixing time...lol

modstar (4961) | 11 months ago | Cake without icing is a choker.
| |
|
|
catdla1 (2647) | 11 months ago | Sometimes. But you still have to bake (and cool) a cake before you ice it. There are some cakes that are pretty good, even without icing. Picture a rich pudding cake with crushed oreos and chocolate chips in it....yummy. If you frost the same cake it's a double yummy (in my tummy..lol)

8. bookreadermom08 (1845) | 11 months ago | actually I dont go for one or the other personally, just a big ole bite of both....LOL
I dont want to spoil the affect of the icing by not having the cake with it..but if it is a special icing, not your ordinary icing, well then you may have to take a special little taste of it first....LOL

9. ersmommy1 (10421) | 11 months ago | Since the icing is usually on the top, I'd say I eat that first. If I don't like the icing that is on the cake, I cut it off. Then I only eat the cake. A good example is German chocolate icing. I don't like it at all.

modstar (4961) | 11 months ago | Never tried German chocolate icing yet. Why, what makes it different?

10. buttercookie (100) | 11 months ago | Normally i eat the icing first, and sometimes last as well. That is not to say that I deviate form my norm of eating the icing first, it is to say that sometimes I do not eat the cake at all, just the icing. Yes, I really like getting a corner piece:)
